Bride/Groom Intro songs?

AHairston, on September 29, 2009 at 12:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Hay ladies, I just was wondering what song have you or will you pick for the Bride/Groom intro song? I had "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by the Ohio Players but I went to another wedding last weekend and the intro song for the bride and groom was "Baby Got Back" by Sir-Mix-A-Lot...and all I kept thinking was WTH!!!...who does that..LOL

Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" is definitely THE hot grand entrance song right now.

I agree, "Baby Got Back" would be an odd choice (but to each his/her own, I guess.)

"Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" -- isn't that by McFadden & Whitehead, not by the Ohio Players (although it does sound somewhat like the Ohio Players).

Since we had a small bridal party (one Best Man and one Matron of Honor) we used one song for all of us: "All For Love" by Color Me Badd.

I didn't want a cheesy entrance song, so I went for that one. It was cool to see how our guests reacted to that song because quite a few people hadn't heard it in so long and they loved it. I wracked my brains for awhile trying to pick out the right entrance song.

We are entering the reception hall to "I'm Too Sexy." It was my FH's choice - not mine - but at this point, I'm just going with the flow on some things (I think most brides get to that point...LOL). Anyway, we are creating somewhat of a "runway" for the entrance to the hall and at the end of the "runway" we want each wedding party couple to pose like a model.

"Aint No Stopping Us Now" was our song, and now that you said that Good I'm not sure who that song is by..LOL..lucky we had all the important songs on a CD and all the DJ had to do was play the right song for the right moment

We are using an instrumental version of Bittersweet Symphony- the wedding party will walk in at the begninning of the song with just the strings and then (assuming we time it correctly) my HUSBAND and i =) will walk in at the crescendo.

Tip to fsuchick97 -- No need for you to "time it correctly" for your and your husband to enter at the exact right point (the crescendo) of the Bittersweet Symphony instrumental version.

You should have your DJ make a second copy of the song and have the second version CUED UP (in advance) to just before the crescendo part. He'd start out playing the first version (from the beginning) for the wedding party ... and then when it's time for you to enter, cross-fade into the second version cued at the place you want!

We are having our party enter on ACDC's-You shook me all night long then we are coming in with Ozzy's Crazy TrainSmiley smile People ask us why those songs. Well ACDC's song reminds us of our relationship. Even though with four kids in our house we manage to shake each others' world still Smiley smile and the Crazy Train is for two things. We have two year old twins and they CONSTANTLY ask us in the car, "where are we going?" so we say "CRAZY" we are taking the train Smiley smile also it reminds us of how we became such successful entrepreneurs, life is just a crazy train Smiley smile
