My Washington State Museum coordinator was Renee Donahue, who was not only the helping me coordinate the details for the reception but also coordinated the food through the museum's exclusive caterer - the Vault. What was great about this vendor is that we did not have to search for and rent separately the tables, chairs, tablecloths, silverware, food, and alcohol and then coordinate family members to return the rentals the next day. We rented the reception area of the museum and went through one person to set up all the details as well as a time line of the events. The Mezzanine area we rented was elegant, clean, new looking and beautifully set up.Renee set up a test tasting of the food we picked, showed us the linens we could choose, the table decorations and coordinated the set up of the whole room as well as helped us establish a time line of events (when is the cake served, the appetizers and so on. Part of the rental of the reception area was free access for our guests between appetizers and when we arrived (after our posed pictures) so that they had something to do while they waited for us. Renee even packed us some food to take to the hotel for the night from the wedding and a bottle of Champaign. I did not hire a wedding planner so having Renee as my event coordinator was incredibly helpful and she was a pleasure to work with. It has been 2 years since my wedding and I'm very glad that my husband and I choose the Washington State Museum for our reception due to how wonderful Renee was and how the service we received made planning that part of the wedding least stressful.
