I was planning my summer wedding in Thunder Bay from abroad and contacted the Flower Shed months in advance to help me organise the flowers for my wedding. From the first contact with Miranda at the Flower Shed, I was shocked: although I stated my modest budget and the fact that I would like minimal and simple flowers, I was continually pressured me to go 'bigger' and of course, more expensive. (At one point she even said, and I quote "for that church you need to go big or not do anything at all'').

Upon final payment for the flowers (which I had to pay before the wedding), they refused to give me an itemised receipt, so I had no idea why I was paying 300 dollars more than I was supposed to be paying.

To top it all off, on the mornng of my wedding, the grooms' flowers arrived at my house (instead of to the church, where we agreed they would be delivered) and flowers for the cake arrived to me also, instead of to the person making the cake (for which delivery to had also been agreed upon). I was left stressing out about how to get the flowers to the right people on the day of my wedding.

The biggest disappointment of all was that while I ordered and (thought) that I paid for colourful yet simple ''country flowers'', what I received and ended up decorating the church and reception were the biggest, most extravagant and expensive white flowers that were available. I did not order these and was very upset that I did not get what I wanted for my wedding day, even after discussing it many times with the florist. Planning a wedding from abroad was stressful enough, and dealing with someone so uncooperative closer to the time was very stressful.

I contacted the Flower Shed about my dissatisfaction with their service, especially since I did not get what I ordered or paid for and received no reply, no solution to the problem. It is months after the wedding now and I am still left feeling stressed and ripped-off.

I regret choosing the Flower Shed as my florist and would not recommend them to anyone - they have their own agenda for your wedding day and horrible service!

The flowers were gorgeous. Just as I pictured. The prices were excellent and Miranda was a delight to work with. Definately worth every penny.

The flowers for my wedding were absolutely gorgeous. Everyone loved the bright punches of colour. You did a wonderful job with the flowers and they really made our photos pop with colour. Thank you!
