The Balcony on Dock was absolutely wonderful for my wedding on April 27, 2013. The whole event went on without any issues and the food was DELICIOUS!!! Jenn and the rest of the Balcony staff would AMAZING! Jenn was very attentative to all my needs and questions, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to help coordinate the wedding. She was always prompt with email responses and met with me whenever I needed. I live in the DC area so it was very reassuring to have her just an email or phone call away! Jenn was super sweet every time we interacted and I cannot thank her enough for calming my nerves.

The Balcony on Dock was one of my dream wedding locations as it was the perfect venue for a ceremony and reception, without having to stress about the threat of rain. My event coordinator, Jenn, was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process and went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was exactly how I envisioned it. We set up numerous appointments throughout the year to discuss vendors, decor, event design, food, etc and I never once felt like I needed a wedding planner, as she was always available with answers to my questions and made sure everything was taken care of the day of!

The Balcony on Dock is a stunning wedding venue and was the perfect size for our group of 75, with plenty of room for more. Our guests raved about the food (southern egg rolls and the beef tenderloin were the favorites) and how smoothly the evening went.

Jenn and Bekah at Balcony are awesome! They helped me with every little detail, right down to my hair stylist! Any special requests I had, they made it happen for us. I simply dropped off the decor and told them to do what they wanted! It turned out better than I ever imagined!

The moment we saw this venue, we fell in love with it!! It was exactly what we were looking for, exposed brick, hardwood floors, beautiful chandeliers, french doors. It made for an absolutely gorgeous setting. From day one, Jenn could not have been more helpful!! She made planning our wedding so easy!! Her expert suggestions on other venders were perfect. From the very beginning, Jenn bent over backwards to help us with anything and everything we needed. She definitely went way beyond the extra mile to make our special day everything we wanted it to bel... and that is exactly what it was. All we had to do was show up and she took care of everything else. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was absolutely amazing!! And thanks to Jenn, we actually got to enjoy it. She catered to us the entire night and made sure we had everything we needed and made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it! The night flowed so smoothly and everyone had an amazing time! It was truly the most perfect night, and we owe it all to Jenn and her wonderful staff!!

When my husband I first got engaged we started our wedding planning by selecting a venue first. When we saw the balcony we instantly knew it was the place for us. It is so beautiful, but beyond that I loved that it was kind of a blank canvas. Other places we looked at would have forced us to use certain themes or colors, but we knew we could really decorate the way we wanted at the balcony!

Jenn Rayle was our coordinator; I truly can't say enough nice things about her. She is so incredibly helpful and did way more for us than I ever expected her too. She was always very quick to respond to phone calls and emails, and was also very eager to make sure we were happy. All of my married friends had prepared me to expect some degree of chaos the day of, but Jenn ran our reception beautifully.

I was told by one of our guest that she had been to hundreds of weddings and that our food was the best she had ever had. We had a wide variety of options to choose from. Jenn made sure we were able to eat, and everything was incredibly delicious!

Once we chose the balcony, we worked exclusively off of their preferred vendor list. We were so happy with all of our vendors, the balcony made excellent recommendations! As great as our vendors were, the balcony was definitely our favorite!

I believe the balcony is a huge value!! There is a reason their reviews are so positive. They go above and beyond, which makes for a carefree and seamless event. I truly had an amazing experience!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Balcony on Dock this November, and it was beautiful! I fell in love with this venue from the start, from the brick facade, to the large windows, to the wrought iron balconies, to the cozy outdoor courtyard. We had a wedding of about 70 people (it can hold more) and it was perfect. Jenn Rayle was my coordinator and made my life VERY easy--she assisted me with picking linens and rentals, beyond the tables and chairs provided, and assisted with coordinating all of my vendors and deliveries, from flowers, to decorations, to cake. She also assisted with the ceremony set up and timing. The staff was professional and the food was amazing--everyone raves about the food here and they didn't disappoint. I think the value here is excellent and the service is exceptional--I couldn't have wanted for more. My fiance was impressed that we hadn't a worry at all the entire evening as everything was managed so smoothly by Jenn and the staff. Our wedding guests raved about the ambiance, the food and the service. Really, I couldn't have wanted a more perfect place to host our wedding day nor a more perfect hostess in Jenn Rayle. If you are looking for a spot in Wilmington for your wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner or other event, definitely check out the Balcony on Dock--the venue and service are excellent!

Jenn and the staff at the Balcony are some of the best professionals I have ever worked with. She made time for me every time I wanted to bring friends or parents down to show off the venue. She answered every email and phone call within 24 hours. Because of her competence, she made my wedding day stress free and magical. I have already recommended this venue to two friends planning weddings and will continue to do so. Absolutely in love with this place. :-)

This was the perfect venue for our wedding reception last month! We absolutely loved working with Jenn and Bekah at the Balcony. No matter what the question, they were always willing to help. Their response time was unmatched and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had the reception we envisioned (even from 10 hours away). Our guests complimented the food and the venue all night! Everything went so smoothly that my groom and I didn't have to worry about a thing...we were busy dancing the night away!

Our wedding reception was held at the Balcony on Dock on August 18, 2012. After working with Jenn for an entire year leading up to our wedding, I was confident that on the wedding day everything would run perfectly. Throughout the planning process she answered all of our questions, coordinated with all of our other vendors, and was patient when we needed to make last minute changes. We were able to relax and enjoy every minute of our special day knowing that Jenn was in charge!

The Balcony on Dock is an absolutely beautiful venue. All of our guests were raving about how beautiful the room was and how charming downtown Wilmington is. The food was delicious. We had jumbo shrimp cocktail, italian sliders, a made to order pasta bar, chef manned carving station, and more. They have so many options, so you can offer your guests something unique that's not typical "wedding food."
