Love loved my wedding venue. If you're looking for a garden outdoor wedding, this is the place to have it. I originally wanted my wedding at a different venue, but we didn't book with them because the food was going to cost me an arm and a leg. I came across this place after a caterer (who didn't use) recommended it. so we checked it out, and fell in love with it. The venue has 4 different ceremony sites...so your pick. There is the gazebo, a grassy tree area (where we had it), a statue area, or a wooden rustic area. The architecture, and incorporation of different cultural decor was beautiful. There was one thing, the swastikas---but it's not what you think. this house was built long before the nazi era, and the swastika was used as decor in native american culture, and the wife of this venue incorporated it to parts of the home in connection to the native americans. i found this interesting, and I learned something new. This venue has barns, lemon and orange groves, statues, spanish decor, greek decor, antique decor and furniture, and rose mazes, it gives so much potential for great pictures. There is also a bridal and grooms room. We saved so much money too..you can bring outside catering!! Since this venue is a l.a. city property there are rules to follow especially with alcohol..you must use their drink vendor if you want alcohol. Nice thing to is, you get your deposit back if you leave on time, and leave it looking the way it was before set-up.

This location is amazing. It features both indoor and outdoor facilities, great in case of rain (which we were lucky enough to avoid). Full kitchen, 3 large guest bathrooms. One of the reasons I chose this place is because of the bridal suite. The whole party can dress in a separate building that has huge dressing rooms for both guys and girls and bathrooms with showers. There is also a large sitting area when you're waiting for the ceremony to begin. The gardens are beautiful, so you don't need to invest a lot in flowers, you have natural decorations here. The grounds offer tons of unique and pretty photo ops. Plenty of space for guests to mingle and for kids to run and play. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Plenty of on site free parking. So many guests remarked how amazing the location is. We paid about $2000 for the rental fee and that included 6 hours for ceremony and reception and 3 hours of set up time. The only thing I would suggest is invest in some extra lighting for the evening, there isn't much outside lighting after the sun sets.

Nice venue. The management team is really professional and accommodating. However, since it's owned by the City of Los Angeles, you're forced to go with their contracted bar service, Monterey Concessions, if you plan to serve any alcohol. If you do end up using Monterey Concessions, they require you to purchase all beverages from them, even non-alcoholic drinks. I loved the venue and the management team but dealing with the bar service was a nightmare. I had close to 200 guests at my wedding and it was over 100 degrees that day. How did the manager of Monterey Concessions, who is the sole bartender that day, accomodate the guests? By making my 200 guests stand in line just to get water or ice. It took some of my guests 20 minutes just to get a cup of ice! There was only 1 bartender for 200 guests and that one bartender would not release any water to the waitstaff I hired because he claims that they "don't do that" and because of their insurance. First off, it's water. Second their insurance covers the bar area only. If something happens 50 ft away, their bar insurance would not have covered it regardless. They are incompetent! I had people who were close to having a heat stroke and yet still no water given to them unless they stood in line. A competent person would have thought to maybe get ten cups laid out a time with just water in it and let people come up to get the water if that's all their lining up for --this would have made the lines go faster and would make it easier for him. But no, he wanted each and every person to line up to get water or any sort of drink. Apparently, this is their usual service. They make people stand in line even for non-alcoholic drinks and making them wait 20 minutes for a drink was typical. After discussing this with them, the manager said that I could have hired another bartender to have made the lines go faster but they only suggest hiring a second one for over events with 250+ guests. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? One bartender couldn't even handle 200 guests! If you plan on torturing your guests and create a really classless wedding, go ahead and get the attractive beverage package from Monterey Concessions. Otherwise, just book the venue and forego the alcohol so you can actually have an elegant wedding.

The staff at Orcutt Ranch was always helpful with questions I had and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Trisha, Danielle and Chris at Orcutt Ranch were friendly and made the planning process so much more enjoyable!

This place is gorgeous and unbelievably affordable. I did tons of research to find a location that wouldn't cost a fortune, and nowhere else even came close to Orcutt Ranch.
