September 10th, 2011 Wedding:
Alexandra did a great job with my bridal makeup and my bridesmaids makeup as well. The makeup lasted all day and night. She was very professional and friendly. I had no problems whenever i had a question or an issue in contacting her. She was quick to respond and attentive to my emails. My hair stylist fell through and Alexandra was able to find me a replacement stylist within a few hours.

Alexandra was very friendly, open to suggestions and patient. She listened and did a wonderful job on my make up. I received many compliments and it did not look "caked-on". Considering that I hardly ever wear make-up, I wanted a natural look and she did this and was able to cover up the pimple I had managed to get the previous day to the wedding. She arrived early and even finished early. I also highly recommend going for a trial make-up session as this really helped when deciding what look to go for and how much make up to use.

Alexandra was a pleasure to work with! I wanted to change many things from the make-up trial and she was very receptive and enthusiastic about making changes to ensure that I was happy with my wedding day makeup.

I would recommend Alexandra to anyone who wanted to have their makeup done in the GTA region!

Alexandra from Mobile Makeovers was great! After much research, I decided to go with Mobile Makeovers as it was very modern, stylish and current. Most of the other websites seemed a little dated. Had a trial make-up run (recommended) to test ideas before the Big Day. I wanted to try out a smokey eye look (loved it) but decided to go more natural for the wedding. Everything went smoothly the day of the wedding and Alexandra traveled to my hotel suite and did makeup for 8 ladies! We all loved our make-up and we had a great time with Alexandra as she is very personable. Our make-up lasted all night and we all received so many compliments. We had a great experience working with Alex (makeup) and Karen (Hair). Both were very accomodating during the trials for both my mom and I, and are very good at what they do!

Their services are excellent value, compared to some of the other hair/makeup vendors out there. They were able to take the pictures I brought with me for inspiration and turn it into a reality on our wedding day. Our hair/makeup also held up relatively well throughout the day, considering it was a real scorcher!

My only word of advice to other future brides is to have an idea of what you want in terms of makeup/hair in order to clearly communicate it to your beauticians (and to avoid disappointment). Also to keep close track of the details of your arrangements! I never got a formal contract from Alex, but kept track of all the details of everything we agreed on in emails. In the end everything still worked out fine!

I had decided that I wanted airbursh make up for the wedding because I knew it would be hot and I have oily skin. I only looked at make up artists who offered airbrush make up for that reason. I specifically booked with Mobile Makeovers because Alexandra was willing to do airbrush make up for the same cost as regular. That is what I had for my trial and I loved it. She was aware that that was what I wanted. However, on the wedding day she showed up without her airbrush equipment and when I asked about it, said she preferred to do it by hand now. She said that since it was the same make up it wouldn't make a difference. I was pretty upset about this but didn't say anything about it because there wasn't any point. She was here, the equipment wasn't.

The second issue was that she applied my girls' strip lashes directly onto their lashes instead of their lash-lines. This meant that the lashes were coming off by the reception as well. Also several girls lost lashes when they had to take them off at the end of the night.

I will say that all of my girls looked absolutely gorgeous when their make up was first done and theirs held up much better than mine did over the course of the night.

The biggest issue I had wasn't necessarily Alexandra's fault, and that's that the hair stylist she brought with her (who up until after the wedding I believed to be a Mobile Makeovers employee) wasn't very good. Karen (who Alexandra now tells me is from Beauty in Motion) took many, many smoking breaks and her hair styles did NOT hold up. Almost all of my girls had their hair drop, and my hair was so ruined by the end of the ceremony that it had to be completely redone.

Alexandra was really great about replying to emails quickly. She was also really easy to work with in terms of arranging a start time. Other places I worked with weren't very flexible on when they would start and many of them charged a fee for especially early starts. I also found her travel fee to be very reasonable.

All in all, I do think Mobile Makeovers does a pretty job on make up. My girls and I did look beautiful on the big day, I just wish things had held up a little better. However, I would ONLY book make up through Mobile Makeovers and NOT hair as that was really the worst of it. But since you don't have to book both and, apparently, the hair stylist won't be part of Mobile Makeovers anyway.

My wedding day was long where I changed into many different gowns. I had a lot of compliments on my makeup from my family and guests. The makeup lasted the entire day without requiring much touch ups, other than reapplying the lipstick. But Alexandra did the make up just as I asked for and I looked great in my wedding photos! I would definitely recommend her to other brides!

The day upon Mobile Make-Overs arrival to my home, I was greeted by two lovely bubbly ladies that were eager to give me the Make Over of my dreams! I did not feel rushed, and it was extrememly refreshing that the ladies kept in touch with me, about all the details before they came to my home and met my expectations according to the picture examples I supplied them. Their rates were very affordable too! It's a great feeling when you know you are not over spending, as Wedding's come with a big price tag!

I was more than pleased with the outcome of my hair and make-up and I am forever thankful. Because everyone thought I looked like a movie star and I sure felt like one. My Husband was estatic too!

Easy to work with. On time and ready to work. All my wedding party was extremely happy with the results. Would recommend them if you want a relaxed, fun enjoyable appointment.

Alexandra did a great job with the makeup for myself and 6 others on my wedding day ! She understood that we all wanted very natural makeup but wanted to look flawless for the big day. Don't hesitate in booking her !

Alexandra is very talented at what she does.
Once in your home, she sets up extremely fast. She has a good sense of humour and is fun to work with.
Her email response time is extremely good (a major factor in why I hired her for my wedding as I don't live and work in her area).

Alexandra was professional and has a great personality. I am heavy makeup phobic and she helped me feel comfortable, as well as look beautiful! She did a great job on my makeup (as the bride) as well as my sisters (maid of honour).
