Wedding Caterers in Sacramento

Such a great experience working with Dawn and her team for our recent Midtown office event. Dawn was so patient and responsive, even with the numerous changes we made during planning. She really listened to our vision and helped us figure out the perfect quantities for our appetizers and desserts. The food was great, and having a bartender and server included made the evening run flawlessly. It was so convenient to get our rentals (tables/chairs) from them too—TLC is a total one-stop shop. Everything was on time and professional. Thank you for making our open house a success!

We chose Magpie to cater our wedding, and we could not have been happier. From the very start they were easy to work with and totally professional. One thing that made planning on our part tricky was that both my fiance and I had to do it long distance. Janel was our contact there, and we could tell right away that she knew what she was doing. She asked lots of questions that we hadn't thought of, and worked with us to create a custom menu that we wanted and would fit our budget. Working with her before the wedding was a breeze, and she was always available to answer questions. Magpie does not supply the alcohol for their catered events, which was awesome for us, we went out to a local winery and bought a few cases of wine and their staff worked the bar. In addition to the wine we had beer and a couple of cocktails. Janel made suggestions on how much alcohol to buy based on the guests, and she was pretty good with the estimate (we went a little over, but better to have extra than not enough!). The staff was awesome. Everybody was professionally dressed, helpful and willing to help wherever they could. The bartenders poured all night with the friendliness you would expect from your local pub bartender. We chose to have the food come out family style, and everything was delivered at the right pace and in sufficient proportions. In addition to taking care of the catering, we also rented our tables and chairs through Magpie, so they took care of the delivery, set up and take down of the tables. We had an outside wedding, and last minute there was wind issues, so we had to move the tables. They rolled with it and had them set up in a new location, no problem. Janel even helped with things that weren't part of her service package, like moving a mountain of cupcakes or tables that weren't out of her package. Finally, what you hire a caterer for: The food. So good. We had Neiman Ranch Tri-tip and Petaluma chicken with roasted vegetables and black central valley rice pilaf. Our passed appetizers were Crab cakes and leek tarts, with a local cheese spread and crackers at a table. It was all delicious. Because we had the food plated and served family style, people felt happy to take as much or as little as they wanted. All of our guests loved the food, and there was plenty without being too much. For the vegetarians in the group the roasted vegetables and potatoes (which were delicious) were filling enough, and the fresh salad was awesome. They used local and organic ingredients for most of the meal, and it was well worth it. Magpie got the food on our tables for about $29 per person. That includes all the rentals, linens, flatware, drinks (non-alcoholic), appetizers, tables and chairs and the bar glasses Working with this caterer was so easy, and their service and food was so good that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends.

Is was seriously effortless to use Griselda’s Catering! The food was amazing. They catered to the allergies that our guest had. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Hassi and his team did a fantastic job with the food for our wedding. We had almost 300 guests and the did a buffet spread that impressed all our guests. He was great to work with and helped us get so much and stay within our budget. I highly recommend him for any event from wedding to party. Call Napoli and at the very least have a conversation!

We had Jackson Catering cater our wedding reception and they were amazing from the get-go! The coordinators, Julie and Danica, were quick to respond to questions and so, so patient! I was trying to juggle multiple things as I planned this reception, so I asked them question after question after question. Sometimes they had already answered the question, but they were always so nice in their response—and quick, too! The food? I had so many compliments on the food! One of my guests—a well-traveled man in his sixties—told me, “I’ve eaten at more the 200 buffets and this is the best I’ve ever been to.” I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on their menu but a few highlights from ours: • Cast Iron Crisp Chicken, Lemon Buerre Blanc • Carved Angus Tri-Tip, Horseradish Cream • Gnocchi, Light Pesto Cream Sauce Parmesan & Fresh Herbs • Chicken Pot Sticker, Chili Plum Dipping Sauce • Smoked Beef Brisket Slider, Swiss Cheese, Herbed Aioli Caramelized Onion The service? Top-notch all the way. I’ll provide an example: A server approached two of my guests offering them a potsticker appetizer. My guests asked if they could have the sliders. The server went back and retrieved the sliders. She then asked my guests if they wanted more. They did, so she went back and got the tray of sliders for them! That’s a lot of back and forth amid a crowded room, but the server made it seem like it was no effort at all. I remember when my husband and I went to do our tasting at Jackson. The man working security in the lobby told us there was absolutely no one better in terms of catering. He was right.

Absolutely best bakery ever!! Reasonable prices and great quality.

Food was AMAZING! We got so many compliments at our wedding, many people went for multiple rounds at the buffet. Our guests especially loved the famous mashed potato's and we loved that we got the leftovers to savor for days after! Overall, communication was very good and the team was nice to work with leading up to the event. Would highly recommend!

Xochimilco catered our wedding reception. The owner Frank and wife treated us like family. They were always available when needed. Made great suggestions. And the food is the best Mexican food I have ever had. All of our guests loved the food. We served buffet style. There was more then enough food for my 200 + guests. They also served as my bartender. They did an excellent job. The prices much better than other vendors that we considered. I could not have asked for a better. Xochimilco went above and beyond to make sure we had a great wedding reception.
