When looking for a wedding Planner, don’t get caught up in price shopping. You need to compare their service and what each package offers. Ask the Planner how many consultative meetings she/he will have with you prior to the wedding day. Full planning should offer unlimited consultations, partial planning should offer up to 12 meetings, and day of coordination should offer four to six consultative meetings. Also, ask how many hours they will be with you on the wedding day. Your Planner should be with you from about an hour prior to the arrival of the photographer at the place where you are getting ready until the end of the reception. They should also offer an assistant to be at the ceremony site and the reception. In addition to asking for references from brides, ask for references from professional vendors. A Planner that has excellent relationships with the vendors will receive good references. A Planner that offers an incredibly lower price than anyone else is probably not very experienced and is just getting his/her feet wet. Go with experience and references. Finally, you need to feel comfortable with the Planner because he/she is the person you’ll be relying on to make your wedding everything you want it to be.
