About Us

Wedding Savvy, Inc. is an established Event Planning Company offiering Full Service, Day of, and hourly event coordination.  Founded by owner Raquel Shutt in 2002, Wedding Savvy has earned the reputation of a professional, reliable, and detail oriented planning firm.   We are proud to have been serving brides for over 10 years!

Raquel founded Wedding Savvy to bring a detail-oriented and client centered approach to wedding planning.   In addition to planning beautiful events (check our webpage gallery for current amazing events!) Raquel believes that the client always come first and it's more than just a wedding, it's a relationship.  Having been in business over 10 years, we're proud to note our clients appreciation for our approach as seen in our reviews! Our team includes several talented, caring, and detial oriented planners whose primary concern is your enjoyment of your big day.  Their passion for design, coordination, and flawless execution is apparent in planning everything from small intimate affairs to large upscale platinum weddings.  Each coordinator takes the time to get to know our clients personally to ensure their wedding is truly what they envisioned, delivered stress-free.

We are based in Annapolis  and enjoy working in our home town.  We also love to get out and about working in the DC Metro area as well as Baltimore and the Eastern Shore.  We'll go where you need us -- it's our pleasure and our passion.

My wedding wouldn't have even been close to perfect if Gina from Wedding Savvy wasn't there. My dad stepped on my dress during the father/daughter dance and broke the bustle and Gina fixed it right there. Also, one of my bridesmaids totally ripped the back of her dress and Gina sewed it up at the reception in a couple seconds. She was so helpful and was there whenever I needed her. I didn't have to worry about a single thing the entire day because I knew I could rely on Gina. I would recommend Gina and the other members of Wedding Savvy to everyone!

The ladies of Wedding Savvy are extraordinary in every sense of the word! They worked a recent wedding that I photographed and coordinated a twenty person bridal party as we zipped around Washington DC and Old Town Alexandria. They were absolutely incredible and made the entire day perfect from start to finish! I highly recommend hiring Wedding Savvy and were extremely impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine excitement for the couple's special day!
