Facilities and Capacity

Guests are invited to escape the bright lights of the city and relax at The Woodlands Resort. The resort spans over acres of picturesque grounds and includes two championship golf courses, a tennis center, and over 200 miles of wooded trails to explore. Everywhere one looks, activities abound from time spent at the Forest Oasis pool complex with luxury poolside cabanas, lazy rivers, and waterslides. There are many striking wedding spaces both inside and out. Couples can exchange vows on the Lakeside Terrace in a ceremony full of character and romance. Alternatively, the indoor ceremony hall is a bright and heavenly setting, featuring white draping and dramatic uplighting, in which to celebrate love. Receptions can be held in the glass-enclosed ballroom, which allows guests to connect with the beauty of nature during the celebrations. Tastefully appointed rooms with comfortable furnishings await guests at night’s end.

Loved it! Perfect for us!

Sara Toy, with the woodlands resort helped us with all our wedding dynamics. We did have a suite for the bridal party to get ready in which I would recommend making sure you have. The extra space was useful. We did our ceremony on the Robards steakhouse patio with 18 guests and followed it with a dinner at the private room at Robards. Tiffany was our head waitress while at Robards and I couldn’t say enough about her. She is a gem and I will never forget her! I am beyond thankful for her and she made everything easy for my husband and I. The following evening we did our reception at the Vista Room. The set up of the room is pretty cool. To the right is an area for tables and food. To the left the bar and dance floor. We also had bar tables and some extra seating near the dance floor. We had all the food provided by the woodlands resort and every guest made comments on how fantastic the food was at the reception! Overall we were super happy with our wedding! We would recommend the resort for sure!

Phenomenal

This place was amazing and Sara went above and beyond for us. From the very first day when we looked at the venue, we felt like we were being treated like royalty. This was the only venue we looked at and they won us over. Everything was included, which saved me a huge headache. The guests loved the food and the service. The bar was amazing. All the vendors they recommended were top notch. So glad we chose them. The price was very reasonable.

I was so happy to have had my wedding at the Woodlands Resort... everyone was so pleased! Judy Patterson was a dream to work with. She was very responsive and remained pleasant with my one million questions. The food was delicious as well! Everyone enjoyed their meals. 5 stars across the board! Well parking was a bit hectic but valet is also an option to avoid it

We had our wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect! I worked with Lauren and she was an absolute gem. It was such a pleasure working with her. She responded to all of my questions in a very timely manner and she was incredibly knowledgeable and detailed in all of her responses. She is also incredibly personable, and I knew that I could trust her 100%. Working with Lauren was by far the best customer service experience I have ever had.

All my guests had such a wonderful time and they were so impressed by how beautiful the facilities were. The staff was very courteous and accommodating, and if we ever had any issues, they stepped in right away to make sure everything ran smoothly! Oh and by the way, the food was sooooo good. I highly recommend!

The Woodlands Resort was a fantastic place for our wedding. We were in the Emerald Ballroom which had a lot of great natural light from the windows all around and our guests really enjoyed being able to go out on the balcony. We had 180 guests at our wedding and they fit comfortably in the room along with the DJ floor, candy bar, and photo booth that we had set up. The food was fantastic and the passed Hors d'oeuvres were amazing. The cake was included in the rate and they went above and beyond with the grooms cake considering the low-quality pictures we provided to them (we took a bunch of photos from pinterest and the end result was better than anything we had seen)!!! The cake was also delicious but we didn't get it eat it because we were so busy - I would make sure that you suggest a piece of your cake be waiting for you in your honeymoon suite so that you can enjoy it, this was something a friend mentioned after the fact and it would have been smart to have done so. The catering coordinator Melissa was always prompt with responding to details and she worked very well with my wedding planner.

We got married at The Woodlands Resort and could not have been happier with our experience and the service we were provided. We chose the resort because our guests were mostly from out of state and it was the perfect place for everyone to spend the weekend. Judy was our venue coordinator and she was incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and thorough from start to finish. Our guests raved about the resort amenities and the incredible stAff and service. The Emerald Ballroom was a beautiful location for our 140 person reception. All of the staff was extremely accommodating, especially Judy, and our guests truly had a wonderful weekend. I am so glad we chose to get married at The Woodlands Resort and would highly recommend it to future brides!

I could not have chosen a better venue to host our March 22 wedding. Lauren was absolutely amazing when it came to coordinating the day for us. I was a little frazzled the day of, and not everything on my end was too organized, but Lauren was so attentive and made sure everything was set up perfectly. The reception went off without a hitch!! I am still getting raves about the entrees & cake (both done by the resort's very talented kitchen staff). We had our reception in The Glass, overlooking the lake and enclosed by windows. It was just absolutely breathtaking at night with all the decor and tables set up. All the guests really enjoyed the location - set back in the serene woods. Location was especially important for my out of town guests who stayed on the property. They were able to use the shuttle service and run out to Market Street for shopping and some delicious eats.

All in all, the day couldn't have gone any better - and I have the amazing WRCC staff to thank for that... so thank you!

We could not have chosen a more beautiful spot for our dual ceremony wedding day! We had a baraat (groom's processional) in the morning on the grounds which led to the Indian ceremony in the Woodlands Ballroom. Our guests had lunch in the scenic Glass Ballroom. In between ceremonies that afternoon our guests lounged by the pool, played golf and were pampered in the spa. The American ceremony took place on the Forest Deck and our guests commented on the beautiful natural setting infused with glamorous decor. We hosted the reception in the Grand Ballroom and the food, drinks and service were outstanding. I wish we could do it all over again!

We had our reception at the Woodlands Resort and Conference Center in the "Vista" Room, which is perfect for around 100 guests. The Vista had a center staircase with balconies on either side and brass chandeliers; it really made for an elegant feel. There are multiple options for reception halls on the property, including much, much larger spaces. They are all breathtaking and perfect for a wedding reception. Judy Patterson was our coordinator, and I cannot say enough nice things about her. She always responded to my calls and e-mails right away (even when I e-mailed her at 7:00 AM on the day of the wedding with a last minute question!) My husband and I planned the entire wedding ourselves, and we could not have done it without Judy. She was so helpful and she walked us through everything step-by-step from the day we came in for our first visit until we cut the cake on our wedding night. Like most brides, I was extremely stressed about everything coming together on the day of, but Judy was always reassuring and when that day came it was absolutely perfect - exactly as planned from minute to minute. The staff was always courteous and helpful, and our guests had a great time and enjoyed the accommodations. We felt that for the price we paid, we got outstanding value. We paid far less than other venues were asking for a bare bones reception, and yet we got a 4 course seated dinner, hors d'oeuvres and cocktail hour, unlimited top shelf open bar, and the resort provides both the cake AND flower centerpieces - unbelievable! If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't even consider having our reception anywhere else!

The Woodlands Resort is an amazing venue to work with. There was no need to hire a separate wedding planner because the entire staff at the resort were incredible to work with. We had an especially good experience working with Judy Patterson - the wedding event coordinator. Great choice for a beautiful wedding!!!
