About Us
In the heart of Maine's capital, you'll find one of the state's most beautiful homes.  Governor John Freemont Hill (1855-1912) commissioned Maine's foremost architect, John Calvin Stevens, to design a grand Colonial Revival home.  This stately building was used as the governor's home until his daughter and grandchildren gave it to the Oblate Fathers for a retreat home in 1949.

Since then, the Governor Hill Mansion has been used as a site for retreats, conferences, and gatherings of all kinds.

Let us help you make your wedding memorable.  We have intimate rooms, larger ones, and a banquet hall to suit all your needs.  Both the interior and exterior provide elegant and dramatic backdrops for pictures.  Our rooms are available for rehearsal lunches and dinners, ceremonies, and receptions.

We provide on-site quality and affordable catering.  You're invited to chose from our chef's suggestions or work with him to design your selections.
