Modern, Personalized, Custom, Flexible, Trendsetting, and Unique... We utilize a modern & customized approach polished wedding entertainment. We do not use the "cheesy" outdated techniques. We believe in total event personalization, and your event will reflect your musical tastes, ideas and desires. So if you are looking to capture tradition, and elegance to high energy and excitement we will work with you one on one to make sure your celebration is perfect.
What is your usual attire?
Formal
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
We have well over one hundred and fifty thousand + songs in our library, so candidly, chances are we already have it.... but if we dont have your music, just let us know what you would like to hear and we will get it in time for your event.
How many other DJs do you work with?
5 main DJs who exclusively lead our wedding events, additonally we have a support staff of 10+
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
2 hours
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
You will meet with your DJ from day one. No sales personnel, No runaround, you will have full access directly to your Personal DJ via phone, email and face to face meetings throughout your entire planning process.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We have the ability to cater to any ethnic group or background.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes, all Sound Connection Entertainment professionals utilize the very best professional DJ equipment available.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
True Intelligent lighting (programmed specifically for your event), 50" Plasma Video Displays, Ambient Room Uplighting, Monogram Projection, Live musicians for Ceremony/Cocktail hour or to perform along side us during your reception (percussionists). All our celebration enhancements are a-la carte.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Generally 1-2 hours. Setups vary by the services contracted.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Space requirements vary based on setup and range form 8 to 16 feet. If space is any concern, you will be informed up front at your no obligation consultation.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We believe in tasteful interaction, we are not constantly on the microphone or the center of attention at our events. We do not believe in the "cheesy" techniques. We do not sing, We do not dance with your guests, We do not pull guests out of their comfort zones, and most of all, we do not steal your spotlight.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Meals are not required.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
We do not take breaks.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Absolutely. We always have back up staff on call should an emergency arise. All of our entertainment staff are true professionals that care about your event and will do everything they can to ensure your event is perfect.
What is your overtime rate?
$250 per hour billed in half hour increments.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Travel feels are based on the destination and only applied outside the state of NJ.
