From someone who cared tremendously about wedding food, Salthouse delivered!
My mother worked in the culinary industry growing up, so I always had an appreciation for food and absolutely love going out to dinner, trying new restaurants, and cooking myself. For me, one of the most important things for our wedding day was the food. I think it is actually really difficult to deliver great wedding food because it is hard to cook for that many people all at once. However, Salthouse exceeded my expectations!
I was choosing between two caterers in the Charleston area, but Salthouse was the most responsive, organized, timely, and helpful so it was an easy decision in the end. We worked with Jacqueline throughout the planning process, and she was amazing! She gave great recommendations for our tasting selections. She worked with us to deliver exactly what we wanted from the food perspective but also from the design/presentation angle. She was incredibly responsive and quickly answered all my questions via email or phone.
Numerous guests complimented the food! Everyone loved the raw bar, and the purple smashed potatoes were a hit! For cocktail hour, we personally loved the Watermelon Canape (perfect for the summer heat!) and the Chicken Taco. For entrees, we did the Salthouse Crabcakes and the Strip Loin - both were so good! One of my favorite parts of the evening was the late night snacks we chose - Walking Taco (taco toppings in a Fritos bag) and a Fried Chicken Biscuit. Our guests raved about these for weeks!

Phenomenal service and food quality!
Salthouse completely exceeded our expectations with the most memorable service throughout the entire wedding day and delicious food! I could not recommend Salthouse and their team enough! Guests are still raving about the food and service! We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and truly appreciate everything their team did for us to make it such a seamless wedding day!

Wonderful service, wonderful food!
We used Salthouse as our catering service for our wedding on 12/02/23 and let me just say...they were WONDERFUL. We worked with Jacqueline for our catering needs and she did an amazing job of keeping us informed, helping us in decision making, and staying on budget. The food was SO SO yummy and we got so many compliments from guests and vendors on all the yummy food!!
