  Wonderful service, wonderful food!

  We used Salthouse as our catering service for our wedding on 12/02/23 and let me just say...they were WONDERFUL. We worked with Jacqueline for our catering needs and she did an amazing job of keeping us informed, helping us in decision making, and staying on budget. The food was SO SO yummy and we got so many compliments from guests and vendors on all the yummy food!!

  We used Salthouse as our catering service for our wedding on 12/02/23 and let me just say...they were WONDERFUL.   Just wow!

  What an amazing experience we had with Salthouse! We used Salthouse to cater our wedding and they exceeded our expeditions by a long shot. Three months later and we still have wedding guests tell us it’s best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We worked with Jacqueline who is the absolute BEST! Not only does she have an amazing team of professionals that she works with, but she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our day. Without Jacqueline the day would have gone a lot differently! I highly recommend Salthouse to ANYONE looking for a great experience, amazing food, and lots of options. Salthouse was also willing to work with our dietary restrictions, which was huge for us! 11/10!

  The best !

  I think we knew from our tasting that we would choose Salthouse for our wedding. The food was delicious and most of the ingredients are locally sourced. I didn’t know flank steak could be so tender and SO good. And oh my goodness the shrimp and grits and butternut squash ravioli. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night to tell us how delicious the food was, some of whom were event planners themselves. Jacqueline was wonderful to work with from day 1, helped us to accommodate specialty and kids meals for guests and always responded to emails promptly. Choosing all of your wedding vendors is a daunting task so from one recent local Charleston bride to future brides, I highly recommend Salthouse and hope this is helpful!

  Forever a tomato pie tartlet fan

  I don’t even know where to begin with these amazing caterers! We had the most fantastic experience with Jaqueline and her staff. The meticulous effort that they pour into their craft is absolutely perfect and some of the most delicious food we’ve ever had! Our families are still talking about the food and they think it was the best food they’d had at a wedding! These are extremely talented and professional caterers. Everyone that worked at our wedding went above and beyond. Choose them if you’re getting married in the Lowcountry!!

  10/10 amazing work Salthouse

  THE FOOD AT OUR WEDDING WAS DELICIOUS!! From the moment we first walked into Salthouse Catering’s showroom we knew that we were in good hands. We loved getting to work with both Vincenzo and Lauren. The food, flavors, and atmosphere surpassed our expectations. Even before we booked Salthouse, Vincenzo was willing and open to answer questions in detail. At our tasting, Vincenzo got to know us and ask questions about our wedding overall to determine what would best compliment our vision. Lauren helped answer last minute questions, offer advice, and take us across the finish line. We couldn’t be happier with how the day went and Salthouse Catering’s service.

  Fingers Crossed I am at another wedding with them!!!

  I worked with Salthouse for my wedding at Gibbes Museum of Art! Jacqueline was the main contact for the planning process and tasting, she was amazing and answered all my annoying questions with ease and excitement! We went through a lot of changes due to the increase in food pricing this year and she really worked with me to find something that would work for us.
  
  The tasting really sold us!! There was not a single piece of food that we tried during our tasting that we did not want on our menu, every time my dad and now husband took a bite, my mom and I said “what do you think” and they couldn’t even compare one hor’dourves to the next one because they were all so delicious.
  
  The wedding day was no exception to the amazing food!! Throughout the night everyone kept coming up to us and saying how incredible the food was. Most people went back for seconds (we did stations) at EACH station!! The biggest regret we heard from my brother-in-law is that he didn’t eat MORE because he was full but it was that good.
  
  We had some extra food and Salthouse packed it up for us and not a single bit of it went to waste, we had the leftovers and they were DELICIOUS.
  
  It’s been a few weeks and we are still getting compliments on the food!! I was never stressed that Salthouse could not pull it off, they were well prepared and everything was as delicious as the tasting!
  
  I would pick Salthouse hands down again and even wish they had a restaurant in Charleston that I could eat at when I visit :) but hopefully we have another wedding in Charleston and get to enjoy them again!

  The Best!!

  We worked with Salthouse for our wedding at Alhambra Hall. Jacqueline French was our main point of contact and she was awesome! Throughout the planning process she was extremely prompt with communications and after our tasting there was no doubt in our minds about selecting them for our wedding reception. We also appreciated that they were familiar with our venue since it does not have a full kitchen. We felt confident in their plan to bring a mobile kitchen and the day of I honestly would have never known! The food, the staff, and the service thoroughly exceeded our expectations. My #1 item when planning our wedding was to have incredible and memorable food, especially since the majority of our guests were coming from out of town. We heard rave reviews throughout the night, and even two months later are still hearing compliments about the food at our wedding. We so appreciate Salthouse's professionalism and culinary talent. It was also a nice surprise to receive a box of mini desserts after our wedding because we did not have a chance to have any the night of! We definitely recommend Salthouse to anyone looking for amazing food for their wedding!

  The best wedding food!

  Salthouse Catering are an incredible team and we had a wonderful experience with them for our 4/8 wedding. From start to finish, they were so communicative and professional and they helped us so much in narrowing down our menu. Honestly selecting the food was a challenge because of how delicious everything they serve is! The food was impeccable on the day of and every single guest of ours has raved about how good the food was. I’m still dreaming about that butternut squash ravioli and all of the passed appetizers. Do yourself a favor and stop considering any other caterers and just book Salthouse! I’m literally hoping my engaged friends book Salthouse so I can eat that food again.

  The absolute best!

  Salthouse Catering is hands down the best catering we have ever had the opportunity to try. Our daughter’s wedding was nothing less than perfection. It was so convenient to book our bar and rentals through them which helped streamline the entire process.
  
  We will absolutely recommend them to all of our family friends who are interested in catering services for a wedding, or any other event they are hosting!

  Exceeded expectations!!

  We had the best experience with Salthouse Catering -- from the in-person catering all the way to our wedding day. The team was extremely flexible with the menu from the big details to the small (like switching dried blueberries to fresh blueberries), and the food was very good. I'll admit we were skeptical they (or anyone else) could scale the deliciousness of the 5 person tasting to an entire wedding reception, but they nailed it! Most impressively, we had the skirt steak as one of our family style meals, and the steak was perfectly cooked (not overcooked), which I've never experienced at other weddings! During dinner, Chef checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed, which was really thoughtful. 10/10 would recommend for any wedding or event!

  The entire Salthouse team was a pleasure to work with. Vincenzo was very attentive and detailed as we planned for our reception. Carol and the team on-site were extraordinary in pulling everything off, despite our lack of specificity in how things should go. The meals were delicious and the service was impeccable. My wife and I couldn’t be happier and would recommend Salthouse to anyone looking for a courteous, professional, and experienced caterer.

  Simply the best

  Vince and his team at Salthouse are as professional and attentive as it gets. The attention to detail was amazing and the quality of service and food was second to none. This was the easiest decision and the best money we spent on our big day.

  Amazing food for any event!

  When we decided to have a mini-mony at a rental house and keep it as small as possible, our wedding planner recommended we do Salthouse's to go options for appetizers and dinner. We could not have been happier with the food!! Even though it was to-go, it was all delicious, portions were quite large, and it still felt like we had catered food there - SO delicious. Not to mention, Vince from Salthouse was super responsive and accommodating of our different questions/requests as we planned. Thank you to Salthouse for making our day special!

  Delicious & Professional

  Salthouse was a recommendation from our wedding planner, and they did not disappoint! The food was incredible, and Vince was wonderful to work with. In light of COVID, we couldn't have their big Best of Season display that we wanted, so they improvised and created the cutest little individual charcuterie/cheese/veggie cones that the guests loved. We did passed hors devours and chef-manned stations and everything was delicious! The servers, chefs, bartenders were all excellent. They had an excellent bar packages, included my favorite flavor of white claw with the beer, and even let me bring a case of my favorite wine to add to the bar package.

  Delicious & accommodating

  Salthouse helped make our vegan wedding dreams come true! The food was absolutely delicious and Vincenzo and the team really went above and beyond to help us plan, taste and serve really amazing food at both our rehearsal and wedding reception. They were extremely accommodating for our request for fully plant-based meals and we served dishes including buffalo cauliflower bites, white bean meatballs, eggplant parmesan, Impossible burger sliders, teriyaki mushroom skewers and penne a la vodka. I highly recommend working with Salthouse, you won't be disappointed!

  Absolutely amazing!!

  Salthouse was one of the the best decisions we made on our wedding day. From day 1, Vince was so responsive, helpful and professional. The team blew us (and our guests) away with their beautiful and delicious creations! They even made sure to cater to a few of our guests with celiac disease, and our guests were so grateful for that. Vince was so incredible to work with and he took all of the stress and guesswork out of the process. 100% recommend!!

  Salthouse was exceptional in every way!

  Salthouse was was absolutely fabulous! They went above and beyond! We had a last minute need for a brunch, and Salthouse exceeded our expectations, by far! They treated our small event like a million-dollar event. Vincenzo, the Sales Manager, was extremely professional and the communication was FABULOUS!! There was never a moment that I did not know what was going on. Karen arrived at the venue an hour early to be sure she was on time and was very organized. The food was delicious and service was exceptional! I would recommend Salthouse for ANY event!!!

  Salthouse is professional and impeccable to details!

  Salthouse just did my daughter's Wedding at Cypress Trees Plantation on Edisto Island, SC. The food, the service, the presentation, the taste, and Vince ..were impeccable and beyond expectations!! They did an exceptional job with Covid guidelines ...we felt safe with all in place and how professional they maintained from start to finish. You will be glad you chose Salthouse for your next event !! I know I will choose them again .

  Top tier food and experience!

  Vince and his team at Salthouse are the best! Our food was not only some of the most delicious food I have had, but the staff was courteous and friendly as well. The entire planning process from the initial consult to the tasting to the big day on 11/7/20 was absolutely wonderful. They were accommodating and thorough, and made the planning process enjoyable. Our guests could not stop raving about the food, and we are definitely planning on booking them for future events! I told my now husband that one of the things I was looking forward to the most at our reception was getting to eat Salthouse again. If you want a caterer that is detail-oriented, prompt, and will have your guests going back for seconds and thirds, look no further!

  Best Caterer in Charleston

  Salt House is hands down the best caterer in Charleston. Everyone at my wedding reception was raving about how amazing the food was, many said it was the best tasting food they ever had at a wedding. Having good food at the wedding was a must for my Dad (who was paying the bill) and Salt House did not disappoint him! Vincenzo is very responsive and easy to work with. They will customize things for you and work around food allergies. My wedding had to be postponed for 6 months due to the pandemic so there were soooo many changes to be made and Vincenzo handled everything with ease. Salt House also catered the Brunch I had the next day for all my out of town guests. If you are a foodie like we are then you should definitely give Salt House a try, you will not be disappointed!!!!

  Great food!

  The entire Salthouse team was a pleasure to work with - from the selection process to the tasting to the wedding day itself. The meals were delicious and my guests loved it all (especially their butternut squash soup!). My husband and I got to take home some leftovers and continued to enjoy the meals all weekend long. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Salthouse to anyone looking for a caterer.

  Best Caterers in Charleston!

  We had the most wonderful experience working with Vince and the entire Salthouse team! Vince was so responsive, thorough, and professional in the many conversations we had together! He made the entire process easy. He was so organized and honest and did everything they could to make sure our event ran smoothly and safely during covid.
  
  The food and service on our wedding day was phenomenal!!! Our guests are still can’t talking about the food! Vince recommended stations for our needs and it was so much fun! Our guests really enjoyed having stations and I was really appreciative that the staff made sure to tell the guests they could visit all of the stations. Thank you so much Salthouse!!!
