Mansion Wedding Venues in Detroit

The Pine Knob Mansion team provided an exceptional experience for our daughter's wedding this past November. From the planning to the main event, the process was flawless.  Gloria is superb. She and the front office staff worked tirelessly as the last minute details took form. They remained calm throughout all changes and idiosyncratic requests, which went a long way in reducing my blood pressure. On the wedding day and throughout the night, Kurt and Jordan created and, importantly, maintained a magical experience throughout the entire evening. Kurt's confidence and energy ensured a smooth execution of all PKM functions. The food was great and plentiful, the wait staff was pleasant and efficient, the facility and grounds were clean and beautiful, the valet service was courteous and prompt, and the sound system (Randy) was crystal clear. In short, the trains ran on time and everyone worked to ensure flawless execution on all levels.  We do not tend to lavish praise on people who merely do what they should be doing. The PKM team, however, went above and beyond ordinary expectations. We thank the PKM team, most sincerely, for everything that you have done to create a memorable day and night.

We had our daughter’s wedding at Addison Oaks Buhl Estate. Kristie, Lois, Dan, Justin and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and professional. They made the wedding planning very easy! We were missing a boutonnière and Kristie somehow made one to match all the others last minute. We did not have bobby-pins, her daughter ran out to get them. Kristie called the morning of the wedding to check in to see if we needed anything. They go over and above to help!!! Everyone is so kind, friendly and eager to help! We highly recommend Oak Management!

The pond, the quiet country setting, the privacy — paints a picture of a place that doesn’t just host events but elevates them. When a venue can make both a wedding and a baby shower feel “amazing,” that says a lot about its atmosphere and the care that goes into it.

Cranbrook House and Gardens was the absolute perfect place to host our wedding. I grew up in the area and it was the only location I could imagine having a wedding. We had a ceremony elsewhere, and Cranbrook hosted our reception. Cocktail hour was held right behind the house and then a tent was setup down by the looking pool. The grounds are so incredibly beautiful, it is the perfect place to take wedding pictures. There are so many wonderful spots throughout the gardens that make for really special photos. Rhonda Reed is the coordinator of events held at the house and she is great. You have the option of a few different caterers, but we used Cranbrook's catering team Chartwells, and they were fantastic. The food was amazing (salmon and short ribs) and the bar service was great as well. My parents especially were extremely impressed with the service Chartwells provided. Catherine Beaubien is their events director and she was really great in helping us plan the menu so that we had the best food possible within our budget. Cranbrook is definitely an expensive choice of venue, but if you have the budget I completely recommend it...you can't top it in the metro Detroit area.

Amazing venue, highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect spot to get married.

Their service, vision, and responsiveness were what allowed me and my partner's dream wedding to come to life. The owners and organizers were incredibly kind and I can't imagine a better place to have a wedding, would certainly recommend it to all.

Great space, lots of options for great pictures, very nice owners! Has a ton of decor for use!

Their wedding planner, Tori, is FABULOUS to work with. She’s professional, organized, approachable, and very passionate about what she does. I loved working with the team at this venue and would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue.
