Facilities and Capacity
Is your rosy-lensed heart fixated on an outdoor ceremony? Say your vows in the Rose Garden, which features a 75-foot long garden pathway for a breathtaking entrance, romantic and classic rose bushes, and a gazebo set in the foreground among deep green, groomed hedges.
After your ceremony, enjoy a refreshing cocktail hour on an outdoor patio, which likewise offers stunning views of the surrounding greenery and course, classically designed by William F. Bell.
The ballroom, ideal for your reception, accommodates up to 190 guests. High cathedral ceilings, dark wood cross beams, and exquisite chandeliers are some of the period staples that contribute beautifully to the 1920’s Spanish Colonial charm of this venue. Attached to the patio through a set of French doors, couples and their guests can move from the intimate indoors to the expansive outdoors, transitioning from the handsome dark wood interior to the vast, open fairways. This room is white-walled to accommodate a variety of color schemes and personalized themes. It also comes with a spacious dance floor.
Your reception can also take place in the clubhouse itself, which comes complete with a banquet room, a get-ready room, and its own restaurant. The red pan tiled roof and pillared portico of the clubhouse harken back to 1926 and contribute even more richly to the historic value of this enchanting and nostalgic facility.
This venue also offers a luxurious loft as a privatized get-ready room. This loft features a six-person vanity for the entire wedding party, a flat-screen television, and a separate luxury space available.

Best Day Ever!
The bridal suite was cute, clean, spacious, and the perfect place to get ready. We opted to have champagne and snack trays in the room, and it was set up beautifully when we arrived. Honestly, it was the little details throughout the entire process that made such a difference.
The food was absolutely incredible. Almost every guest we’ve spoken to since the wedding has mentioned how delicious everything was. The staff was equally amazing. Myra and the entire event team were so kind, attentive, and organized. They moved with such a sense of purpose all day, and I always felt like we were in good hands. One thing I especially appreciated was that they made sure my dinner was brought to me right when I actually had a chance to sit down and eat, so it was still hot, and they made sure my water glass stayed full all night long. Small things like that really showed how much they cared and paid attention.
We also didn’t hire a wedding coordinator, but between our DJ, Sadie, and Myra, everything flowed so smoothly and completely according to plan. I never felt stressed or confused about what was happening next. I also want to mention how impressed I was with the transition between event directors. We had originally been planning with Tawnya for most of the process, and about a month before the wedding we learned she would be leaving and Sadie would be taking over. From our perspective, the transition could not have gone more smoothly. There was absolutely no lapse in communication or service. Sadie knew every detail and picked up right where Tawnya left off, which made us feel so supported during such an important time.
Big Rec gave us such an amazing wedding day and memories we will cherish forever. Everything looked beautiful, the staff was exceptional, I stayed on budget, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding space with an incredible team behind it.

The Perfect Date with Rec Park 18
Beyond the breathtaking venue, the staff and coordinators were outstanding from the start. Tawnya, our venue coordinator, explained every detail and option thoroughly and was incredibly flexible and accommodating with any changes we wanted to make throughout the planning process. She also offered numerous options for reaching out to her for clarifications or changes. Aside from email, making appointments in person or via Zoom was easy through her online portal. The Rec 18 team, including the talented cooking staff, bartenders, and efficient service crew, ensured our day was seamless and enjoyable.
We cannot thank Tawnya and the entire Rec 18 team enough for making our wedding day so special!!!

Amazing and intimate
Beautiful Venue, Excellent Service, Great Collaboration
Before we requested a tour we inquired about pricing and packages, Tawnya responded promptly and was very informative. We toured the location multiple times, before deciding on our venue and after, and every time it was a very positive experience and Tawnya was very accommodating. A garden wedding full of our own personality was what we envisioned and although we had some aspects of the reception area we wanted to adjust, the team was able to deliver our vision.
From start to finish everything was very clear, and if we did have questions along the way Tawnya was able to communicate with us promptly and was assuring throughout the time leading up to our wedding day.
We attended a tasting which we enjoyed very much and further, we were also able to speak with Mayra who led catering and preparation the day of the wedding. Mayra was able to speak to us about her experience and even gave us ideas for our own wedding and appeased any doubts we had.
Tawnya, Mayra and the entire Recreation Park 18 team were very understanding of our needs, patient with our questions, flexible with our requests, and above all truly understood our vision and helped us make it a reality.
The day of our wedding, our personal wedding coordinator worked alongside Mayra and her team to execute our wishes and schedule. The catering staff in particular were so kind and professional. Separately, our wedding photos can show how beautiful the course, patio, and garden areas were and could not have asked for better collaboration to make this day possible.
We are so grateful to the team and fully recommend the services and accommodation of Recreation Park 18.

This is a great location for an event. The event coordinators are very knowledgeable and helpful. It's nice that the facility has many options for both the ceremony & reception. I have been to many events at this location and it is always well maintained. The food is excellent and I am without exception, always impressed with the friendly staff. What a great, worry free place for an event.
I've had the pleasure to work with Katelyn, and can I just say, she is a class act! When you have a professional that knows their job, and loves what they do, it makes a world of difference for their clients and their vendors. Her professionalism and attention to detail is apparent from start to finish.
Great staff and the recent remodel makes this intimate venue vary adaptable to any type of decor and is centered by a large and lovely fireplace. The cocktail reception courtyard is private and allows for great mingling amongst your guests. Great for a couple who wants a venue with character and a friendly staff along with a central location.
