Rabbi Andrea Frank is an Ordained Reform Rabbi. She is approachable and reachable. It will be her honor to officiate your joyous Simcha, your wedding ceremony.  Rabbi Andrea Frank is registered with the New York City County Clerk’s office and have the authority to sign your New York State Marriage License.

The Jewish wedding ceremony is beautiful with its customs with its order of the ceremony. Your wedding ceremony is a memorable moment for when you both sign the Ketubah and recite Hebrew vows to each other under the Chuppah. When you stand under the Chuppah receiving God’s blessings and drinking from the Kiddush cup, both of you will feel the connection of the wedding traditions that are over 2,000 years old.

For Jewish couples and interfaith couples - if one or both of you are Jewish, then I will be happy to officiate your wedding.  Respecting a couple's commitnment to Judaism, no matter how little or how much, as their one faith and agree to raise children Jewish is what makes this Rabbi more than happy to officiate a couple's Jewish Wedding Ceremony.  Sorry, I do not co-officiate.  

If neither of you are Jewish and are seeking a non-religious civil ceremony, this Rabbi can assist.  Non-religious is simple - NOT acknowledging either faith.  No religious customs will be acknowledged in the ceremony. However, there is always room to add a few if they are important to you as a couple.

Available to officiate your wedding ceremony in all locations i.e. reception halls, indoors or outdoors, restaurants, private homes, parks, beaches, museums and destinations.  Serving the tri-state area; New York, Westchester County, Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, New Jersey, Connecticut. Destination weddings can be arranged as well.

The ceremony is the beginning of the rest of your life. A thoughtful officiant can help make your ceremony meaningful and give you a memory to treasure.

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site? Yes. A Chuppah can be set up anywhere and so a Jewish Wedding ceremony can take place inside and outside.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony including the vows? The Jewish Wedding Ceremony order and text is beautiful, but all depends on each couple and their wishes.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired? Yes, and is optional. I will offer to read them as well if both of you are very nervous and too emotional that day.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose? Not really, but suggestions. As I get to know each couple, I work with most requests and where to fit them properly into the Jewish Wedding ceremony order.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done? Pre-marital counseling: only if requested. It would be best to have a pre-ceremony meeting(s). How many? It depends on the time frame for the date of each couples wedding day.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals? Yes, but Jewish weddings do not usually have rehearsals. If the venue for the ceremony allows pre-ceremony rehearsals, then I will be more than happy to be available.

Do I officiate interfaith ceremonies?
Yes, with couples having the best of intentions choosing Judaism as their one faith and raising their children Jewish.

Can I officiate a non-religious ceremony?
Yes, being registered with the County Clerk’s Office in New York gives me that authority.  Non-religious, Civil Ceremony, is simple - NOT acknowledging either faith.  No religious customs will be acknowledged in the ceremony.  Civil Ceremonies can take place any day of week, weekends except Shabbat for this Rabbi.

Am I registered with the City of New York?
Yes

Can I marry a couple outside of the State of New York?
Yes.  I am an Ordained Reform Rabbi and to always check on the marriage laws of your state.  If an application is requried for Clergy, and there is enough time, credentials and the application can be filed.

 

If you are unafilliated, meaning not belonging to a temple and would like to be married in one, you still can.  There are independent caterers doing business on the premises inside a temple.  Most have contracts with the congregation that they will in fact offer their services to non-congregants.  When a couple uses the caterer and there are no congregational events, the sanctuary is usually available for Jewish wedding ceremonies with an outside Rabbi.

Did you know that you can be married any day of the week?  Are you looking for a wedding officiant to go above and beyond the New York City Clerk's office less than 5-minute wedding ceremony?  Contact Rabbi Andrea Frank for your Civil, non-religious, legal wedding. She'll meet you in New York City since she is registered with the Clerk's office to officiate civil weddings as well.  Does this contradict being a Rabbi, not if you look it that way.  Being registered in New York City allows her to uphold the legalalties that is required to be married in New York City and New York State.  It is the law to apply for a marriage license and it is the law that a registered wedding officiant sign that legal document.  Why should a couple who wishes for a non-religious wedding ceremony not enjoy a beautiful, romantic wedding ceremony as well?
