Photo-matica Photo Booth Rental Co., based in San Francisco, is a local, socially responsible company that services Central and Northern California.  We rent our hand made, vintage inspired photo booths, using the best digital technology available, for weddings and other events.

My name is Doug Ellington & I designed and built my first photo booth in 2010. I live in San Francisco with my wife, Christi, & newborn son, Johnny. For as long as I can remember, it has been my dream to own my own business. I love building things & I have a passion for photography and all things old & rusty. I guess you could say building my own version of a vintage inspired photo booth was in my blood, using (mostly) local materials and supplies.

As business started to pick up, I decided to ask an old friend, Matt Dewalt, to join Photo-matica.  I’ve known Matt for 16 years & we ran track together in college. The man is more buttoned up than a pea coat & he ensures that every detail is followed through to perfection. I like to tell Matt he is the brains & I am the brawn of the operation (mostly because it makes him feel good).

There is nothing else either one of us would rather be doing. Our passion for photo booths, our clients, and spreading Photo-matica love is reflected in every one of our events.
