Peter was a last minute addition to our vendor team. Our original budget didn’t allow for a videographer and to be honest, my husband Chris and I were not fans of the traditional wedding videos we’ve seen. After watching a friend’s highlight film on facebook, my mind changed completely. It was my first glimpse of a wedding shot and edited in a modern, cinematic way.

So, 3 months before our big day, I began my search for a NJ cinematographer and that is how I found Peter. I watched video clips from nearly every videography/cinematography blog in NJ and there was no question Peter was it! I contacted him and couldn’t believe that he was available! Chris, however, was still not sold, since our budget was set and we didn’t have much (if any) wiggle room. He delayed the decision a couple weeks; then Peter contacted me to say he unfortunately had booked an event the day of our wedding. After seeing how disappointed I was for quite some time, Chris spilled the beans! He and my dad booked Peter as a surprise wedding shower present. So he WAS booked, but luckily it was for OUR WEDDING, I was elated!!!!!

In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Chris’ dad had unfortunately fallen ill and was in the hospital. When our big day came, he was unable to make it. We used iPads to Skype Chris’ dad that day so he could watch it live, but having Peter there assured us that no matter what, he would be able to see everything! We enjoyed every second of our wedding day, but as most brides and grooms will tell you, the day seemed to be in fast forward. All of a sudden, the music stopped, the lights came on and our wedding day had ended. Chris and I would try to recap each and every moment, but it’s so difficult to truly remember everything.

Then our highlight film was posted and it was magical. Peter captured the details, emotions, expressions; the planned and unplanned moments and edited them flawlessly to tell the story of how we began our journey as husband and wife. He incorporated Chris’ dad on the ipad so tenderly, it meant the world to us that he was included in our video. We are so grateful to have found such an amazing talent and equally amazing person in Peter Ferriero.
