Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I offer creative toning, black and white, color, sepia, and anything else you can think of. It is all done at no additional charge to you.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I'm experienced shooting in a multitude of lighting situations. Natural or artificial, I believe light is a very important characteristic of good photography.

Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot fully digitally.

How many photographers do you work with?
Myself, Pat Furey, and an assistant/second shooter of my choice.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Of course! I give all of my personal attention to each and every one of my clients!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
When I book anything, I give my completely attention to my clients on that very day. I never shoot multiple things on the same day. I might shoot two events on a very busy weekend.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
If something happens that I can not control (death, illness, etc), I will provide a replacement. I can safely say that I've never had such an occurrence.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I shoot exclusively with the Canon 5DmkII and a variety of prime lenses. Prime's can capture great lighting in even the darkest of churches and the image quality is superb! I also bring along flashes, backups, a lot of memory, and lighting gear if needed.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have packages that start at a 6 hour (and up) day.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
I can shoot overtime as specified under the "investment" section on my website, www.patfureyphoto.com. I am more than happy to work on an individual basis regarding how much coverage you need.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I only require one break to have a meal.

Do you charge for travel?
No, within reason. I will travel for up to 75 miles for free. Anything past that, I charge based on gas expenses.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Typically within a week.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
All of my packages contain a CD(s) of high-resolution images ready for print.

How long can the client keep the proofs?
Indefinitely.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
I provide said digital files for the couple to keep forever, I also retain the images on my hard drive if the couple ever wants to order an album or has otherwise misplaced something.

Will images be available for viewing online?
I can arrange a custom gallery for my clients.

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer Finao and Vision Art albums from 8x8 inches and up starting at $300.

When will the client get the final album?
If you order an album, I begin working on it once I hand over the CD of images to you. I then send you a .pdf proof digitally to go over the album before I send it to the printer. You are allowed one free revision of the album before I send it to the album printer.
