About
Congratulations on your decision to hire a professional makeup artist!  Considering the investment you are making in your photography, it only makes sense to have your makeup applied correctly, as it will reflect in every nuance of your photos.

I have been a professional makeup artist since 1999 in all aspects of special occasion makeup: bridal, stage, print, and film.  My work has been featured in local and regional magazines and dvds.  Training with MAC has instilled a knowledge of color theory, face and eye-shape optimization, and the philosophy of beauty for all ages and races.

I specialize in airbrush makeup applications.  This water-consistency makeup is sprayed through a wand that is attached to an air compressor and lightly misted over the face. It is a very popular medium for models and celebrities whose images appear as close-ups in magazines and movies.

There are many advantages to airbrush makeup. . . mainly that the result is the most delicate, flawless finish.  It uses only a fraction of the amount of makeup. . . less product but superior coverage!  The look of blemishes, sun spots, redness, large pores, and acne can be softened and appear to vanish.  Airbrush makeup is applied in half the time of traditional foundation.

Whatever your style. . . sexy smoky eyes, a natural beach beauty, or Old Hollywood glamour. . .my greatest joy comes from helping you look and consequently feel, your best.

We've had the wonderful privilege of working with Pamela and it is so refreshing to meet make up artists who actually 'get it' and pamper our brides. She takes her time and makes the bride and her bridal party feel 'special' on the most important day of her life. The make up that she applies is fresh, clean and has a flawless finish so that the bride looks beautiful and not 'painted up' on the day. My bride's words were, "my skin actually feels like it can breath" and she was absolutely radiant when Pamela was done. I will be recommending Pamela for my future brides and know that anyone that uses her services will be delighted. ~ Elyn Rahman ~ A Charleston Event & Bridal library
Pamela has been the makeup artist on numerous events I have photographed recently. She works fast but meticulously, doing everything from airbrushed makeup to false eyelashes. She is up to date on what is modern and fashionable, while keeping her clients looking natural and flawless. The last thing a photographer wants is everything running behind due to hair and makeup. Pamela has done a whole wedding party including mothers of the bride and groom all while keeping to the bride's timeline. I recommend her all the time and can't wait to work with her in the near future!!

Additional Questions and Answers
Where do you work?
All my work is done on-location. I come to You. My makeup services are provided in the comfort of your surroundings. I have found that this makes for the most relaxing wedding-day experience.

Do you require a trial-run?
A trial-run is highly-recommended. I feel it’s important to meet and discuss a plan for your wedding-day look. A facial analysis is done to assess your skin type, coloring, and face shape in order to determine the best look for You. Often, a trial-run is coordinated with your photographer and hairstylist for engagement or bridal portraits.

What kind of makeup do you use?
As a former MAC artist and a current MAC Pro member, that is where my heart lies. I feel MAC has the longest-lasting wear and best color pay-off. The pigments are color-intense and can be blended out to create even the softest of effects. That being said, I also know how accustomed we can become to our own favorite colors and brands. Some of my brides simply prefer their own mascara or lip color. If you have a favorite, I am more than happy to incorporate that into the wedding-day look we create.

A personal note about product & tool sanitation:
OK, I’m a little “ocd” when it comes to my makeup and tools. What that means for you is that you are guaranteed the cleanest, freshest application possible. I clean my brushes after each use. All product applicators in my kit have been removed and fresh, new disposable applicators are used on each and every face.

Do you work with other bridal party members?
Of course! Bridesmaids, as well as Mothers of the Bride and Groom, love my service. Make no mistake, YOU are the star of this day, but your bridal party will look their best in your most cherished of keepsakes . . . your wedding photography.

What are your rates?
Please contact me to check my availability. Once I’ve determined that your day is available, I will be happy to give You a rate quote. In order to save your date, I require a contract be signed and a deposit be made.

Tips and Advice
Think about the look you want for your wedding day, months before it's here.

Preparation and a trial-run go a long way to insure a smooth wedding day application.  This means less stress and more fun on your wedding day.

Clean, clear skin is the true foundation for all makeup.  Work on your skin care routine months before your wedding.  If you have one, great!  If you don't, develop one now.

The best skin care advice I ever received is what I'm about to tell you: No matter how tired you are at the end of a day, remove your makeup and wash your face.  Faithfully. . . every night.

Drink lots of water.
