We worked with Cam Viola and the team at Meritage Entertainment for nearly a year leading up to our 5th anniversary party this past weekend, and they exceeded every expectation we had.

We had actually seen Cam DJ a wedding years ago and remember saying, “If we ever have an anniversary party, we want him there.” I asked for his card that night & fast forward several years, he became such a huge part of one of the most meaningful nights of our lives.

While Meritage primarily focuses on weddings, they were willing to work with us on our anniversary celebration, which we were incredibly grateful for. Our wedding took place during COVID, and between the restrictions and some difficult personal circumstances, we never got the big, packed dance floor celebration we had always dreamed of. This party was our chance to finally have that moment, and Cam understood that from day one.

Throughout the entire planning process, he and his team were responsive, accommodating, supportive, and solution-oriented. I sent more emails and questions than I’d like to admit, and every single one was met with patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help make our vision come to life.

From the moment the music started, Cam absolutely nailed the vibe. During cocktail hour, he created the perfect atmosphere, laid back enough for conversation but still completely aligned with our taste in music. Before the dance floor even opened, guests were already coming up to tell me how much they loved the music selection.

Cam also welcomed everyone to the event, and while we gave him a few talking points, he took it from there and delivered something that genuinely moved us. Multiple friends turned to me afterward and asked how he had managed to put our feelings into words so perfectly.

Throughout the night, he effortlessly handled every curveball we threw his way, from helping my husband pull off a surprise speech, to birthday shout-outs, to countless song requests. Everything felt seamless.

Most importantly, he knew exactly how to read the room. He knew when to build energy, when to shift gears, and how to keep people on the dance floor all night long. Around 8:30, after a night that began early, there was a slight lull in the crowd’s energy. Within minutes, Cam had everyone right back where we wanted them, singing, dancing, and completely losing themselves in the moment.

Then somehow, when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, it did. As the crowd dwindled and only our closest friends remained, Cam turned it up another notch. That final stretch of the night ended up being many of our favorite moments from the entire event. No joke, friends have since said, “it felt like he was speaking to us through his song choices.” 😂 By then end of it we were all sweating from how loud we were singing, how hard we were laughing & how ridiculously we were dancing.

We’re all parents now. We don’t get out nearly as much as we used to. But for one night, Cam transported us right back to our twenties, carefree, laughing, dancing with our best friends, and making memories we’ll talk about for years.

No matter what was happening on the dance floor (and trust me, there were plenty of ridiculous antics), Cam remained the ultimate professional. All he cared about was making sure everyone was having an amazing time.

Cam and Meritage Entertainment were worth every single penny. If you’re looking for someone who can not only play great music but truly understand a crowd, create unforgettable moments, and make your event feel special, he is that.

Thank you, Cam & Meritage, for giving us the dance party we never got to have five years ago. We’ll truly never forget it.

What a blast it was to have Anthony Soto from Meritage play at our wedding. He filtered my recommended tracks for bangers and deftly wove across genres with perfectly timed transitions that varied by style and duration. There was no nonsense, no corny announcements. Anthony was quick on his feet to work with our shifting plans and transitioned seamlessly with our live band. He was professional and arrived well in advance of our start time. Anthony's very presence brought immaculate vibes, and our dance floor was packed until the very end.

We hired DJ Tumi through Meritage for our wedding and it was the best decision we could have made. We had one ask for Andrew: a packed dancefloor and high energy all night and he delivered. People were on the dance floor from the time it opened until the last possible second. Andrew took our music preferences and asks to heart and he delivered a set that was uniquely us. He was not just clicking through a playlist, rather playing mixes and mashups that kept people on their feet. People are still talking about the music - and countless people told us that our DJ was fantastic. This was the greatest decision we could have made for the fun, upbeat wedding we wanted. Meritage was easy and seamless to work with from the time we started getting quotes through delivering on our wedding day. We used them for uplighting, ceremony sound, cocktail hour music, and reception. Everything was perfect.

Evan was a fantastic DJ for our 5 year anniversary party! He was responsive, listened to and turned our ideas into a great playlist, and made sure that the dance floor was bumping all night - would highly recommend Meritage and Evan in particular for any DJ needs!

My husband and I hired Meritage DJ for our wedding and it was such an easy decision. We wanted a team that had experience and would help us with our vision for the day. We wanted our cocktail hour and dinner to have a certain vibe that fit the venue with some old timey swing and jazz music and then our time on the dance floor would bring the party. I heard so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved the music selection during cocktail hour. It made us happy to hear how much our guests were enjoying it too. We hired Evan as our DJ. He did a fantastic job from start to finish. He made introductions, announcements, and speeches a breeze. The volume of the music was also perfect. I have been to some weddings where DJs are not aware it seems of truly how unenjoyable a night can become when you can’t hear anyone speak (even when they are screaming in your ear). This was NOT the case with Meritage DJ. They are professionals and experts in every sense of the word. They can really read the room and they know that a wedding isn’t a rave (unless of course you want it to be - then I’m sure they could accommodate).

We had happy guests the whole night! And my husband and I were also incredibly happy. I’d pick Meritage DJ again in a heartbeat. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with them! They are so on top of it all!

Had the best wedding experience beginning to end! James the founder of meritage was wonderful not only working with leading up to the event but a fantastic performance the entire night. Had a blast dancing to all of his music and playlist kept the dance floor packed! Would highly recommend meritage for any event! Definitely made our wedding a night to remember!

Andrew (DJ Tumi) was an absolutely amazing DJ for our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better! He knew how to keep people on the dance floor all night long from our grandparents to our college friends. Everyone was raving about how the music was perfect all night long.
