I think the best advice is to come with any ideas or details that you might want in your cake. Bring color swatches, pictures, etc. MakeMyCake also has a great book of cakes they've created for their clients in the past that you can draw ideas from.

We used Make My Cake for my wedding in January 2016. We chose Make My Cake because we wanted a tasty cake. Our cake was delicious but it was also beautiful and fit with our theme perfectly. The owner arranged fresh flowers on it herself right before our ceremony just to make sure it looked exactly right. I didn't expect her to show up herself to do this work. We were really impressed. The cake was really affordable. We still have some leftover for our first anniversary. We can't wait!

Didn't use them for a wedding. They did my birthday cake, and it was fabulous! It was ready for pickup exactly when it was supposed to be. Just the perfect cake -- looked great, tasted great. Mighty sweet. Everybody loved it, and because I ordered right I had a lot left to eat for a couple of days as a reminder of a great party. Make My Cake did my son's birthday cakes from the age of 2 to about 18, and now they've made one for my 70th. They make a wonderful occasion cake, and it's also an excellent place to drop by for a slice of something good,

There's not much to say about my process with MMC - my now husband and I did a cake tasting, secured the date, delivery and the head baker/owner helped me pick out a beautiful cake topper! It was a pleasure picking Make My Cake!

I knew I wanted RED VELVET cake at my wedding. The ladies at Make My Cake did an outstanding job with my cake! I really didn't give them much guidance and I wanted something simple. I was going more for tastes good!! I told them 3 tier, 100 people, round, white icing, with silver ball accents and some white flowers. When I walked into my reception room it was more beautiful than I expected!! And it tasted great! Rave reviews from all guests and this happy bride!

Anyone that has meet with wedding cake bakeries in NYC know what a challenge it can be to find a place that has beautiful AND delicious cakes. Our main priority was taste. My new husband has a major sweet tooth and the cake was about the only thing he cared about in all the wedding so I was determined to make sure it was delicious. Make My Cake was unpretentious and extremely pleasant to work with and the cake was easily the best cake , not just wedding cake, I have ever had. We attempted to save the top for the 1st year anniversary thing but it was pretty much gone within 2 days after returning from the honeymoon because it was just that good. It was also very beautiful and they designed the cake exactly as I requested. I cannot wait for another reason to use Make My Cake!!
