Your wedding is THE EVENT OF A LIFETIME!  Don’t let a lousy limousine service spoil it for you.  There’s nothing less attractive than a bride with mascara running down her face!

Reserving and renting a limousine should be given the same detailed attention as selecting the dress, the tuxedos, the music and the flowers.  After all, it is your special day!  It just would not do for the caterers to be late to the reception or for the four-tier wedding cake to lopsided . . . and it won’t do for the limo to be late, to break down or not to show up at all. 

Always ask to see the company’s line of cars.  You want a limousine with class.  A luxury sedan or a stretch limo is perfect for the bride and groom or the whole wedding party.  Take care to select the style of car that fits the image portrayed by the rest of your wedding attire; you don’t want to end up with a mini-van.

Avoid limo brokers.  They are middle-men that have little or no control whatsoever over the service you receive.  They work for commission, period.  Make sure you are dealing directly with the limousine company that is providing the service.  This also cuts out the middle-man and you will get much better prices on the limousine of your dreams.

When you make arrangements for a wedding limousine:

• Ask about the limousine company’s experience
• Check the company’s references. Any company that can not provide you with references is a red flag
• Make sure the company is licensed, insured and has the proper operating authority
• Check for reputable affiliations with the National Limousine Association, the Better Business Bureau or similar organizations such as the Illinois Limousine Association 
• Make sure you see the vehicle in advance and that it meets your expectations
• Ask about overtime charges and availability
• If you are renting more than one car, ask about discounts
• Ask if the company has a EBP (Emergency Backup Procedure) and what it is 
• Find out if the chauffeur’s gratuity is included in the fee
• If the company does not call you prior to the scheduled event, call at least 48 hours before the wedding to make sure your reservations are in order
• Get a written contract AND review the fine print
