Do you have liability insurance?

Describe your DJ style:
Great personality, very professional, emphasis is on the music and ensuring the most guests are partying on the dance floor. Not cheesy, not the type to get out on the dance floor and teach guests how to do the Electric Slide. I use more of an upscale, classy, artsy approach.
You may desire a classic wedding with classic/timeless hits, or maybe your tastes are little off the beaten path. I am here to discuss your musical tastes to make your day fit "your" personality.
What is your usual attire?
Dressy Black suit for an elegant and professional appearance.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No. If I do not have a song special song request I will legally download it or purchase the CD. If the song is so obscure that I am unable to find it (rarely happens, but can occur), I will ask that the client provide me with the song.
How many other DJs do you work with?
This varies, generally it is myself. However, there are times that I do bring an assistant (at no extra charge to you).
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
3 hours, but this varies depending on the circumstances of the event.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Of course! You shouldn't even think of hiring a DJ that won't take the time to meet you!
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
No, but I am always willing and excited to learn and confident that I can help make any party a success!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. I use a Bose Sound System for amazing sound quality and I perform digitally using high-end laptop computers and professional DJing software.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Additional options exist such as monogrammed lighting (displays the name of the bride and groom, or anything on a wall or floor), and club style intelligent lighting effects. I am continually adding new options and willing to discuss your needs.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
1.5 to 2 hours is usually enough time for set-up and sound check. I like to make sure that everything is ready to go at least 20 minutes before the start time, as guests can sometimes arrive early.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
I don't need extra space, but I do need a reasonable space to set up my equipment.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I do emcee the reception, doing bridal party introductions or announcing formalities such as the first dance or the cutting of the cake. This all depends on how you envision your wedding, as you may not want to follow the path of a traditional wedding reception. I do not talk unnecessarily and I do not talk in between each song when there is no reason to talk. I do not hog the microphone, this is your special day and the guests of honor should be the focus of attention, not the DJ.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No meal breaks are required, and I do not require that you provide me with a meal.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Not applicable because I don't take any breaks.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes.
What is your overtime rate?
$100 per half hour increment, on the day of the event, payable on the day of the event if it was unscheduled prior to the event.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
I will travel within 50 miles of the Boston area at no extra charge. When working in downtown Boston - if there is no free parking available, I charge an additional $30 to cover parking expenses.
