Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We proof most images in both color and black and white and offer our Signature Collection which includes re-touching and special tonings of our favorite images!
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We can shoot in all types of lighting. We do prefer natural light over artificial light sources, but frequently take advantage of multiple lighting techniques. Our technical skills should never be a worry for our clients!
Is your media preference film or digital?
We now photograph our events 100 percent digitally. Allowing a variety of creative options and control!
How many photographers do you work with?
This depends on the package you book. Kristin brings an assistant/second shooter to weddings where 6 hours or more of coverage is booked. Associates bring an assistant when more than 8 hours of coverage is booked.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
If coverage is booked with a particular photographer that is who will be shooting your wedding. You won't be getting whoever happens to be available, however we are people to! If there is an event/situation outside of our control, we do reserve the right to dispatch a comparable photographer (i.e. hospitalized due to illness, severe car accident, death in the family... just keep in mind we're going to do EVERYTHING we can to fulfill our contractual obligation!)
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We do not book one photographer to shoot more than one wedding per day and we chose to take Sundays off!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
If coverage is booked with a particular photographer that is who will be shooting your wedding. You won't be getting whoever happens to be available, however we are people to! If there is an event/situation outside of our control, we do reserve the right to dispatch a comparable photographer (i.e. hospitalized due to illness, severe car accident, death in the family... just keep in mind we're going to do EVERYTHING we can to fulfill our contractual obligation!)
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We bring a wide variety of only the best professional digital camera equipment, lenses, and lighting.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Any pro who doesn't wouldn't be much of a pro. We are always prepared in the event our primary equipment fails!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Coverage options vary!
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Our packages allow for a range of coverage hours (less than 6, 6-8, and up to 12) so overtime isn't typically an issue, but our rates to overstay our contract are at $200 per hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Typically only one to eat!
Do you charge for travel?
We frequently shoot outside the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and travel fees are assessed on a per case basis.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
We have proofs ready for viewing online within 3-4 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Proofs are always offered via private online website for friends and family and many of our packages also offer hardbound proof books.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Proofs stay online 3 months and are re-released during the holiday season (Nov-Dec). Proof books that come with your package are yours forever!
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
We retain the copyright, but if digital negatives are included in your package, you will get print usage (meaning you can make prints wherever you like and have a copy of the full resolution images)
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, our images are our livelyhood and we reserve the right to publish them in samples, online/website, advertising, etc.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
All of our current packages include the cost of digital negatives on DVD (includes all the images you see online) valued at $500. You will get your digital negatives with the delivery of your album or keepsake book. Please note that you must have a DVD drive to be able tosee these on your computer (there are too many to fit on a standard CD!)
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes!

When will the client get the final album?
After you view proofs we invite you back in for an album consultation and which point we finalize your album design and order your book. Final delivery is typically 8-10 weeks from this date. The sooner you come in after the wedding, the sooner you get your book!
