Bridal Tips

Although I am a MAC Freelance artist and I love working with my MAC sistas, I wouldn’t advise going to the stores or counters for such a special occasion. Saturdays are the busiest days at the stores and coupled with the traffic craziness that can happen at any given moment, it’s just not worth it for the headaches you will more than likely encounter. This is your big day! Relax and have a professional attend to you in the privacy of your location. Trust me on this one.

I know everyone knows someone in his or her family or has a friend who "does" makeup. I have heard so many horror stories about last minute cancellations, no shows and Tammy Faye Baker looks. Please spare yourself this tragedy and go with a professional who will be there and do a great job. I have only cancelled one wedding ever during my makeup career and that was due to scheduling conflicts.

Most brides think they can go without makeup but always regret it when they receive their wedding photos. I know we are all natural beauties, but you want to look your best and those pictures will be with you forever! As much as you are paying for your photographer, believe me you will want to make the investment complete with a little makeup.  If you want a "natural look"  you don't need makeup!  Please realize that your makeup has to be a little more than you normally would wear on a daily basis so it and you will show up in the picture.  Not every photo will be a close up!

Please ladies don’t drink too much the night before, your skin could end up dehydrated and there’s nothing worse than hung over bride. Not cute! You can celebrate big after you are married!

Don’t have your eyebrows waxed on the day of your wedding. The same goes for facials or peels, you never know if you might have a reaction and there’s no makeup that will make it better. If you are trying a new facial treatment do it at least 2 months before. You don’t want to end up looking like Kim Cattrall on Sex and the City at Carrie’s party.

If you are going to tan, PLEASSSSEEE don’t do it the day before, do it before you have your trial. I am good but I am not a miracle worker! I have seen some horrendous tans that went horribly wrong.

If you are considering changing your color and/or style, do it at least 6 months before, so anything that goes wrong will grow out or can be dyed back long before your take that stroll down the aisle.

Encourage your groom to utilize an on location shave and/or haircut as well. You know he will be close by and ready to go when it’s time and there won’t be any five o clock shadows to tickle you when you have your big kiss! We offer those services as well.

Our time is as valuable as yours.  If you contact us for information, please be responsive!
