Working with Julia was an amazing experience. Her kindness and professionalism made everything easy. She went out of her way to make sure my Husband and I had all the photos we could ever want including amazing photos of our puppy. We could not have asked for a better experience and photographer. We were so pleased that Julia was a part of our wedding day! I had been researching area photographers, primarily online/via Instagram, because I live abroad. Julia's style was one that we really loved. However, it turns out that a friend of mine had Julia photograph her wedding and had nothing but good things to say - that really cemented the decision. She was very responsive via email - making time to communicate with me through scheduled phone calls, emails, and the occasional in-person meeting when I was home visiting and taking care of wedding admin. She is of course incredibly detail-oriented, but also put all of us at ease on the wedding day, herding together both of our large families for formals (even 8 months pregnant!). We were worried that we'd feel silly and overly posed, but it rarely felt that way - she even made sure to carve out some time during our reception to grab the sunset, but so that we wouldn't miss too much of the fun! Given that we had a multicultural wedding, there were many parts that we wanted captured, and we as well as our family and friends have been thrilled with the memories captured on our wedding day!

Our daughter and her fiancée were attracted to the quality of Julia’s work when we first started exploring our photo options for their wedding. Meeting with her cemented our resolve to hire her, as she formed an immediate emotional connection with them. She is the rare photographer who understands how critical it is for a professional in her field to make their subjects totally comfortable and relaxed during photo sessions. She flew to their home to do an engagement shoot, further developing her relationship with them and their trust in her in the process. What a beautiful set of photos came out of that meeting!

At the wedding she and her assistant were everywhere that they needed to be, seemingly all at once and without becoming overly obtrusive at any point. She had worked closely with my daughter to develop a timeline for desired photos and yet maintained the necessary flexibility to work around unforeseen circumstances. Rain threatened immediately following my daughter’s ceremony, when large outdoor group photos were planned. Julia and her assistant were amazing in their organization and speed in getting all of the desired shots done, with all of the right groupings, in very little time before the rain began. All with a calm and pleasant demeanor. And every shot was picture perfect! In numerous other candid shots, she was able to capture the emotional joy of the day in ways that far exceeded our expectations. Her technical skill is top notch and we could not have been happier with the results! Her pricing is clear and fair and she was extremely reliable and responsive to emails as well.
