Jim played piano from April 2006 through January 2007 on designated evenings at DESTINO, the new Justin Timberlake/Eytan Sugerman/Ron Kaplan venue that opened in February 2006 at 891 1st Ave in NYC with former RAO chef Mario Curko in the kitchen. Jim had the honor of playing for and meeting film director Sydney Pollock(The Way We Were, Tootsie), Joanna Simon(sister of Carly and an opera singer herself), Restauranter Rocco Despirito, and former Yankee 2nd Baseman Chuck Knoblauch. Stopping in at this venue while Jim played were Leonardo DiCaprio and Madonna, Woody Allen, Stephen Schirripa(Bobby Bacala--"Sopranos"), and Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz (the night prior to the 2006 MTV Awards).
