It has been said that there are two distinct styles for wedding photographers, “Traditional”, where the focus is on arranging or ‘staging’ the photo opportunities, and “Photojournalistic” where the intent is to capture the behind the scenes moments and tell the story.
One focus is primarily on the people while the other is all about telling the story. Our style is to combine the two, and as a husband and wife team, we are qualified to work as such, a ‘team’, intent on capturing both those behind the scene moments, as well as the more traditional groupings and arrangements.
We also recognize that while there are many people involved in a wedding, the day is really about the bride. Spending time, before, during, and after the ceremony with the bride allows us the opportunity to capture those moments that will be reflected upon for years to come.
Additionally, taking the time to meet with the bride and groom prior, to discuss priorities, and/or any special needs or requests is standard procedure. To encourage this, we offer the engagement photo, here in our studio or on location, as part of the wedding proposal at no additional charge.
