Tips and Advice
When that special day has finally arrived, there is one very important piece of advice that I like to share with every bride and bridesmaid: Make sure to wait for your music to start before you begin to walk down the aisle!  Often, the musicians cannot see everything that is going on because people are standing for the entrance of the bride.  Because of this, we are trying to watch the ceremony as we time when we should end pieces and begin the next one.  Usually, when the bridesmaids have arrived at their spots at the front of the ceremony, we will change music and begin the bride's song.  However, this takes a few seconds!  If we are watching the bridesmaids and did not see that the bride has already started to walk down the aisle, there is no way we can avoid a few seconds of silence as we change to the piece that she has requested.  To prevent this from happening, my advice is to try to remember what your entrance piece sounds like so that you will know when it is time to start your processional.
