 Advice for engagement shoots:

Let your photographer know about meaningful locations well in advance.
Bring a second set of clothes that change your look half way through the session.
Talk to your partner  about what they should wear that day. Don't try to  be be overly matchy-matchy.
Avoid large prints or colours that will clash. Solid colours or subtle prints work best.
Avoid really short tight skirts or sleeveless tops. Short skirts make it difficult to get up/down easily and make posing awkward when sitting, Sleeveless tops make arms look bigger.
Avoid overly baggy clothing that will hide you.
Avoid bringing a big clunky purse with you. Take what you need and double check it can be locked/concealed in the car during the shoot.
Keep a bag in the car with a towel, mirror and comb/brush, touch-up makeup, bottles of water, breath freshener.
If you wear glasses, clean them before the session begins.
Talk to your partner and let them know what to expect: kissing, hugging, snuggling, tickling,  in front of a camera!!
Kiss without a pucker. Lips that are slightly open and 'touching' your partner will look sexier AND will appear more like kissing, than a pucker will.
Wear your engagement ring and have a manicure - guys too. Your photographer will take close ups of your hands.

Trust your photographer. You can't see what they see. A pose may feel ackward but look great.
Enjoy the session! Savour it!
It will come through in the pictures.
