Elegant Occasions Catering was an absolute gem to work with for our wedding! From the initial tasting to the wedding day execution, Gina, Robert, and their team exceeded our expectations every step of the way!

At our tasting meeting, Gina helped us decide on the color of linens, type of silverware and plates, and the overall “flow” of how the dinner service would go down. The food they served at the tasting was absolutely delicious, and we decided to go with the “Festive Occasion” buffet menu, which included plenty of options for food, as well as full bar service. The tri tip and bistro chicken were wonderfully seasoned, the Hasselback Potatoes were some of our favorite potatoes we’ve ever eaten, and weeks later I'm still wanting more of the Fennel sausage & cheddar stuffed mushroom caps as well as the Parmesan crusted onion canapes that were served as appetizers. Luckily they did pack us a “to go” box with plenty of leftovers that we quickly consumed over the next few days.

Their complete and transparent pricing package makes it extremely easy to tell exactly what you will be getting, especially compared to other vendors with obfuscated fees, tips, etc. We would highly recommend doing business with Gina and Robert at Elegant Occasions.

I'm still trying to find the words for the amount of gratitude that I have for Gina, Chef Robert, and the whole team. Elegant Ocassions was the first vendor we booked for our 10/10/21 wedding- even before we confirmed a venue! I had recalled seeing their penguin truck out & about many times on my commute. From our very first consultation, Gina had been nothing short of amazing. We were blown away with our tasting- not only because they allowed us to truly experience our menu, but the genuine kindness of Robert & Gina. They're extremely attentive & after the wedding, i can say the WHOLE TEAM is! The set up they did for our fall wedding was beautiful & everything that I envisioned. They added lovely touches throughout the venue- ones that only an eye with experience could come up with. The food was SPECTACULAR! I could've lived off our appetizers & s'mores cupcakes, in particular! Great price- fantastic products & service.

Where do we even begin?? We were blown away by Elegant Occasions. Gina and her team catered our wedding at a church in Oakland in September 2021. All of our pre-event meetings went well, and we especially enjoyed being able to do a full tasting of each of the appetizers and meals. Gina patiently answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns one by one. She took so much stress off of our plates in the months leading up to the wedding and during the day itself and you can’t put a price on that.

On the day of the wedding, the food was delicious, and the presentation was supreme in every way! Gina was very attentive to our needs throughout the day, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The staff members were extremely courteous and helpful! They even brought cocktails and appetizers to us during family pictures after the ceremony.

Gina and her team went above and beyond! They lit candles, cleared centerpieces off the tables, placed favors at each place setting, and even left a sweet note in our guestbook! Gina was accommodative of special requests, including picking up linens early and several complex dietary restrictions. We also really enjoyed the fact that this was a small, local, family-owned business in the Bay Area. We highly recommend Elegant Occasions for any special event!!

What else is there to say other than Gina and her team are absolutely incredible. From the first day we spoke to Gina until the night of the wedding, she was amazing. Gina was always prepared, responsive, and open to ideas that we had. My wife and I planned the wedding ourselves, but could not have pulled it off without the help of Gina and Elegant Occasions. Our guests continue to talk about how good the food, service and attention to detail was the entire evening. We would recommend Elegant Occasions 100 times over and would select them for our wedding again in a heartbeat. For the price (includes food, alcohol, glassware, linens etc., wait staff and planning), service, and quality of food, Gina and her team should always be the first choice.

Attention East Bay brides!! If you are feeling overwhelmed checking out venues and caterers, look no further as I promise you no regrets when you go with Elegant Occasions. I admit, this review is LONG overdue!! My brother got married this past September. From start to finish, meetings with Gina and Chef Rob were seamless and stress-free! They get booked well in advance so plan accordingly!! THE FOOD: compliments to Chef Rob! I don't know how many times we asked Gina if they'd open a restaurant and we'd all go and spread the word to family and friends. At our final meeting with Gina, we noticed a donut wall in the office and quickly added that option to our package for late snacks. So glad we did! It was a hit at the reception when people were winding down towards the end of the party. THE SERVICE...top notch!! They took care of everything for us. Helped our coordinators set up displays and centerpieces before the party started. Seriously people, Gina and her team were so awesome on the big day and they were very attentive, responsive, and on point. Gina is an absolute PRO. She knew how to calm our nerves and anxieties about delivering a successful event. She is a great listener and made suggestions on some things we wouldn't have thought of or envisioned. The reception set-up was beautiful!

Each time we bumped into anyone from their team at the party we couldn't stop saying "thanks so much! you guys are awesome!" Our guests kept asking us how we found Elegant Occasions and how much they enjoyed the food, the party and the service. Part of my (corporate) job is event planning and working with other caterers in the Bay Area (many from San Fran) and I have to say Gina & Team are the BEST I've worked with. Let me start by saying Gina is AWESOME and the food Chef Robert prepared was so DELICIOUS. All our guests couldn't stop raving about how good the food was. From the appetizers, main entree, donut wall, and even bar drinks were all perfect when it comes to taste. In addition, the service was so great. Their team knows what they were doing and no wonder they are one of the suggested vendors from our venue. They are so organized and very attentive. One guest also mentioned that they are very clean since they don't let all the dirty plates sit on the tables. I also want to mention how touched we were with all the things Gina did for our wedding. Our event coordinator backed out last minute and guess who saved the day???Gina did!!!!!!!!! She took over and made sure that everything is going to be alright. She was very meticulous with all the details and because of that, everything was flawless. During the reception, we felt how much she cared for us by constantly checking if we were okay or if we needed anything. She made sure everything was going according to plan. We will choose Elegant Occasions over and over again. We highly recommend them and we assure you that you will never ever regret choosing them.

Gina and the Elegant Occasions team are wonderful!! My husband and I got married at the Garden at Heather Farms last month and they did an amazing job! They were on the recommended vendor list and we picked them because of their wonderful reviews from past clients. We couldn't have asked for more from the team. We had 2 meetings prior to the wedding day in order to coordinate and discuss things like menu, appetizers, linens, schedule, etc. Gina has so much experience with catering weddings, and has lots of great advice and tips regarding other wedding things too. We had the tri tip carving station as well as the shrimp tower for appetizers and our guests raved about how great the food was. Gina also regularly checks in with you in order to ensure that the bride and groom get well fed and are hydrated throughout all the wedding day craziness too. The flower displays that the team sets up to complement the food displays were beautiful as well. I can't say enough about the quality of food and service from Elegant Occasions. I'm so glad I went with them for our wedding. I highly recommend Elegant Occasions for your wedding or event and believe that they're worth every penny!
