Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I retouch all printed images or album images in Photoshop. Additionally I can get very creative with images if that suites your style.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have professional lighting to handle all situations. I prefer to shoot in natural light, as that highlights the eyes beautifully.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot on digital using professional Canon equipment and professional lenses.
How many photographers do you work with?
I have several second shooters that I work with on a regular basis.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, additionally we are covered by insurance for any disasters that might arise.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only shoot one event a day, to allow me to completely focus on your event.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I work with several photographers that are outside the wedding industry so they are always available.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We use 2 Canon 5D's with a Canon 30D and 20D as backups. Additionally all lenses are professional quality. I shoot with a variety of lenses depending on the moment. I use on and off camera flash as necessary.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, we have a total of 4 cameras at each event.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Our packages include a set number of hours, but for shorter events, we can create a customized package with just the number of hours you need.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
We typically charge $200 an hour if booked by the hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I don't take official breaks but will occasionally grab a drink of water and rest up.
Do you charge for travel?
Outside of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area I charge a minimal charge to cover my costs.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Usually within a week or two they are online.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Proofs can be viewed online or some packages include a number of printed proofs.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Proofs remain online for 2-3 months. Printed proofs are the brides to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Some packages include the copyright for the images. I prefer to print them professionally for the couple so they have a lasting memory.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, I love to highlight your beautiful day on my site.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
We can provide these for an additional cost. Typically we provide the files of a quality to print 4X6 and all other prints will be professionally printed and mounted by us.
Will images be available for viewing online?
We edit typically from over 3000 images down to about 1500 we place online.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer flush mounted albums in a variety of sizes. Additional album offerings are also available. We use professional design software to create a personal heirloom you will be proud to show your family.
When will the client get the final album?
Once we release the images to you for review, you must select your album images. From that point it typically takes 4-6 weeks.
