I had my wedding Ceremony and Reception here, and it was truly amazing.

The grand staircase in the main lobby where I had my ceremony was breathtaking, I still remember walking down the stairs as my husband, family and friends watched I was one of the highlights of my life.

Derek was my wedding coordinator, which he came along in the package! I don't know what I would of done if I didn't have him! The level of profesionalism, dedication and talent that he has was awesome! He helped in the wedding planning so much!

Everything was great, the prices and the venue was 100 percent evrything I paid for and more!

Having our wedding at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center was one of the best decisions we made. The venue in itself is absolutely beautiful. Our guests enjoyed that we had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in one location, it was so convenient, and a big bonus that there is a hotel right across the street. The employees at the venue were extremely helpful and a delight to work with. We must have called so many times in the months counting down to our wedding, and every time we called or stopped by, we were always treated so great and were serviced with excellent customer service. The day of our wedding, our wedding coordinator and staff at the performing arts center, were so amazing. They took care of so many details and helped take a huge load of stress off of me. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to get married and is looking for an absolutely beautiful venue with great service. Our wedding was a wedding to be remembered.

The venue is elegant and awe inspiring, but it was the support that we received from Derek and his team that made our wedding day the "perfect day". He was our coach/advisor as to how we might maximize the space and provided helpful suggestions as to how to make the ceremony flow. The day of the wedding the staff did a phenominal job of transforming the grand lobby from the ceremony layout to the reception/dinner/dancing area while our guests enjoyed cocktails in the entry courtyard. Everything was done in a very seamless way and it allowed us to enjoy our day.

As to the venue, it is outstanding. You must see it to truly appreciate the architecture. We were fortunate to be able to have pictures taken in the actual theatre as well as the grand lobby and fountain areas. Our wedding was a dream come true. And thanks to Derek, it far exceeded our vision and our expectations.

The parking is free and with the Sheraton Cerritos just across the courtyard, made it very convenient for the entire wedding party and guests. The grand lobby has so much natural light, a beautiful spiral staircase and modern fireplace which we used as the focal point for the ceremony.

The Sierra Room was used for the reception. We had 27 tables (provided by the CCPA) each with 8-10 chivari chairs (rented from Classic Party Rental) at each table. There was a nice amount of room between tables and enough room to have a large aisle way that ran the length of the room as well as a large dance floor. The restrooms are located inside the Sierra Room and the 2 sets of double doors that lead to the Grand Lobby was guarded by security. We had scheduled several table moves during the course of our reception to accommodate performances and it went so seamlessly! The kitchen is very big with several refrigerators and an ice maker. The acoustics in the Sierra Room were excellent. Everyone could hear the performers and speakers very clearly.

You may bring in your own caterer but all alcohol must be served by the Patina Group which is the CCPA’s contracted alcohol vendor. If the Patina Group is not catering your wedding in addition to the bar service, you or your caterer must provide the hot beverages (coffee & tea). Included in your bar package you will have soda and bottled water.

Derek Van Hamersveld, Special Events Coordinator at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts was phenomenal and was very helpful throughout the wedding process !!! We had a quick 1 month turnaround on the wedding and Derek was very flexible and made this a smooth and pleasant experience ! We had the Ceremony in the Grand Lobby, the Cocktail Hour at the Fountain Court, and Reception in the Sierra Room. Derek was very accomodating with the layouts of each area and also made great suggestions ! We also had access to the Kitchen area for the Caterer, Flowers, and Party Rentals. Derek also worked with us so that our wedding party had enough time to set up the Sierra Room. Derek also made arrangements for me to enter thru a back entrance so no one would see me before the ceremony and it was a surprise for everyone to see me walk down the spiral staircase ! Overall, this was a fun and stress-free wedding at a beautiful venue !!! The Staff and Security were also very helpful ! Many Thanks to Derek and his Crew for their Excellence and for making our wedding a memorable one at such a spectacular place ! We have glowing remarks and highly recommend Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts for Weddings as well as Special Events... especially with Derek at the helm !!! The CCPA is an absolutely fabulous venue for wedding related events - mostly receptions and banquets. Working with Derek and his staff could not have been easier. His knowledge of Indian and Hindu ceremonies surprised us while also proving to be incredibly useful in our ability to plan this.

The venue itself is a work of art. We were initially going to have our event in a private banquet room within the CCPA, but once we saw the main lobby area with the grand staircase and spaceous layout, we were sold. Our guests were equally in awe of the space and the venue was instrumental in ensuring our event was a success.

Derek was also very reliable and quick to answer questions throughout the process.

I have no qualms about strongly recommending brides consider the CCPA for their wedding needs, from receptions to Indian Sangeets (our specific event) and beyond!

Working with Derek and other members of the staff was easy and a pleasure. After the dress rehearsal the day before my wedding, I had forgotten to roll and tape the runner as Derek and I had discussed. I didn't realize it until I was arriving for the ceremony! Upon seeing Derek I told him of my mistake, only to find out he had ALREADY taken care of the problem in addition to lighting the tea light candles just before the guests were seated! I recently got married at the CCPA and I do not regret one bit having my wedding there. It was so beautiful and spacious that it hardly really needed decorations. Even the outside looked so grand with a water fountain that they share with the Sheraton Hotel.
I had a pretty big wedding - about 280 people and CCPA was able to accomodate all of them and it was cost effective at the same time. They allow you to bring your own caterers in, which helped me out in a big way that way I didn't have to pay per person for such a big guest list. So I had more of a buffet style dinner which was cheaper, people got to pick and choose what they wanted to eat and got to take left overs home. It worked out really great!
Not to mention Derek Van Hamersveld, the special events coordinator was a big help and support system throughout the whole event. I think I must have bugged him with tons of emails and calls everyday but he would always patiently return my call and even give me advice. What more can you ask for when the contact person you're working with is so much fun and understanding. Especially on the day of my wedding, things were getting chaotic and he remained so composed and really helped me get through the day. I would also definitley recommend using Patina if you are having an open bar. Anthony Dixon from Patina was so professional and on top of everything. They did everything that I asked for, even creating a special drink for me and my hubby! It was a great success and tasted awesome! If I could, I would definitley have my wedding all over again at the CCPA.

Derek and everyone at the Cerritos Center for Performing Arts was extremely helpful and made that day extremely memorable for us and everyone who attended.
