Catering Made Simple is a premier full-service wedding catering company based in Elgin, Illinois. Owner Greg Chanthalusy founded the company in 2013; ever since, Greg and his friendly, hardworking team have made it their mission to go above and beyond for their clients. Their on-staff event planner can help you find your dream venue, choose a photographer, select your music and entertainment, and more. Catering Made Simple even offers bar services and equipment rentals. If you provide the vision, they will take care of the details. They want to take the stress out of the planning process so that you can spend more time enjoying your wedding journey and making memories you'll cherish forever.

Things Could Not have been Better!

From beginning to end, our experience with Catering Made Simple could not have been any better! From Cari getting us started and seeing us through to our special day, Laura keeping in touch and keeping up with our questions and changes, to the catering/serving staff at the wedding (who we got LOTS of praise on!!)....they will always be our caterers of choice. Oh, and the food! We continue to get compliments on the food - excellent!

Look no further!

Our daughter and fiancé lived out of town so trying to coordinate and confirm a menu was looking like a huge task. Our wedding venue recommended Catering Made Simple and we couldn’t have been happier! Chef Lydia cooked up a fantastic elegant Mexican
Style meal for 200 people family style, and it was
fantastic, all the guests commented on how unique the food was and CMS even did a hot dog stand for late night snack. Cari was our go to person for
Coordinating everything! Amazing attention to detail, efficient and friendly. The whole staff was wonderful in serving and clean up . Cari worked tirelessly back and forth by email and in person to make this happen and we highly recommend CMS!! Thank you!!!

Above and beyond

Catering Made Simple above and beyond for my wedding. Not only did they do an amazing job with dinner, they also want above and beyond when my wedding cake vendor did not show up. The owner rushed over to the local bakery to pick up enough cake to feed my guests. Thank you for saving our wedding and making it special

Our BEST decision

We hired Catering Made Simple for our wedding, and they completely exceeded every expectation. From the very first conversation, their professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail stood out. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — from the beautifully presented dishes to the flawless service.

The food was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every guest raved about it and still do to this very day! They perfectly balanced creativity and crowd-pleasing flavors, and the presentation was restaurant-quality. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our day special.

It’s rare to find a company that combines this level of quality, service, and passion. Catering Made Simple truly elevated our event and made it unforgettable. I can’t recommend them highly enough — if you’re looking for catering that impresses on every level, this is the team to call!

Our Chicago wedding

My fiancé and I were incredibly impressed with Catering Made Simple on our big day! Not only were they a breeze to work with, but the food was an enormous hit with our guests. Some people said it was the best wedding food they ever had; we especially loved the selection of appetizers they offered. I believe the company is currently transitioning to focus more on Chicago clients, all the luckier for the Windy City in my opinion!

Catering Made Simple (but really)

I had the pleasure of working with Cari at Catering Made Simple. Cari was always available via text which was super convenient for me as a planning Bride. She was so sweet and easy to talk to. She said Catering Made Simple was EXACTLY what the name meant. I did not believe her at first but she was RIGHT! From the first consultation to the tasting (Amazing, btw), to the preparations right before (you ever thought about the way your napkins were folded? No? Well that was a question I got at the end. LOL, Roses, we picked Roses as our fold... floral themed wedding and everything), to the food and servers on the day of! 10/10 Delicious. Everything I could ask for. The quote from the guest was "You said you were having wedding food and we were scared, but your food was AMAZING." Vegetarian/Vegan/Allergy friendly.

We love Catering Made Simple!

We hired Catering Made Simple for our wedding, and it was absolutely one of our best decisions! Cari was so easy to work with, professional, quick to respond, and helped our wedding day flow beautifully! Not only was the food so delicious, but having a full service caterer, who will take care of tables, chairs, rentals, setting up table decor, wedding cake and desserts, and working as a day of coordinator, was so helpful! And they did an amazing job! Plus the entire staff was super friendly and helpful!

Would 1000% hire them again and recommend to all my friends and family!

Knocked it out of the park

Catering Made simple did an fantastic job for our big day. Great value for the menu we wanted. I am a very picky person due to the fact I've worked in food service my whole life. They excited all expectations left all the guests (including all my fellow chef friends). My wife DIYed all the decorations and they were a great help adding little things and making her vision come to life. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Amazing Food and Staff

We loved Catering Made Simple. They were very helpful during our wedding and planning out our menu. We had a variety of different options and they even provided food from our cultures. Overall amazing company. Will keep in mind for future events as well as recommend them going forward.

Great food and incredibly accommodating!

CMS kicked it out of the park for our celebration! They were incredibly flexible and accommodating with any requests or ideas we had! From delicious apps, perfectly cooked dinner, and we can’t forget about Cari’s delicious desserts!! We also were planning from another state and they helped ease our mind being over 1,000 miles away! You feel like family working with catering made simple! If I could rate higher than 5 I would!!
