  As the founder and owner of BRIDALMAKEUPANDHAIR.COM, Rhonda Johnson has been sought after for her makeup and hair skills in the fashion, advertising and commercial industry for over 16 years. Rhonda still continues to maintain her freelance career for her print and advertising clients as well as managing to be available to her bridal clientele. Besides her basic knowledge in makeup and hair styling she has the extensive experience of being behind the scenes of hundreds of professional photo shoots.

  After getting married on the Central Coast in 2001, the beauty and serenity of the area continued to call to her. In 2005, she and her husband decided to leave the Los Angeles area and relocate to the Central Coast. With the extremely busy freelance schedule she kept in LA, Rhonda was only occasionally available for weddings there. Having a desire to be close to home, and seeing the need for having an artist with her experience available to an array of locations, the concept of BRIDALMAKEUPANDHAIR.COM began.

  Rhonda’s goal is to provide Central Coast brides the same opportunity only “the Hollywood elite” have had, a personal makeup and hair stylist at their own location. Rhonda is a makeup and hair stylist with experience in many media forms – print, film, and video, not just the salon. This is to a bride’s advantage, as she will work to appropriately style your make-up to meet the specific light challenges of your location. She will assure that not only do you look beautiful to your guests, but that you are camera ready for the many photos that you will come to treasure for the rest of your life. Rhonda comes to your location fully equipped and ready to meet all of your makeup and hair needs. Having one less place to go on your big day is not only time saving, but also more relaxing for you!

panacea event floral design	What you don't know about Rhonda and what she probably won't brag about - is that she has years of experience in the "industry" doing make up & hair for people on TV and in the movies. She completely understands how light and lenses work and knows how to apply make up - making you look great for your day and in the photographs. I have personally had many brides who have been really thrilled with the outcome of Rhonda's service. OH - did I mention she's really a nice person too?

1. First off I recommend getting together for a consultation. This is when we discuss the different makeup and hair styling options that will work best for you and try them out.

2.  I ask that you bring photos of the looks you are thinking of. That way I can get a feel for your style preferences.

3.  If your situation does not allow for an in person consultation, we can do it over the phone or Internet. In cases like this I like to add an extra hour the day of the wedding to make any changes.

4. The bride’s makeup and hair usually takes about two and a half hours.

5. Please bring your headpiece or veil to the trial run.

6. Unless we have planned something different, I ask that all party members have clean DRY hair.

7. Feel free put on any moisturizer or add any styling products to your hair that you normally use.

8. I recommend having the bridesmaid’s hairstyles opposite to the brides. If your wearing your hair up then the bridesmaids should wear theirs down or visa versa.

9. Make sure to have on a button down shirt or something that you can get off without disturbing your hairstyle.

10.  I work by myself, but if you have a larger party there are other local artists I can recommend to help with your group.

11.  I use a variety of products including MAC, Bobbie Brown, Stila, Smashbox, Nars and my own personal products. Also I use hair care products from Paul Mitchell and Bumble & Bumble.

12.  Whatever start time is necessary to have your party ready on time I can accommodate it.

13.  I am experienced with all skin tones and hair types.

14.  The prices listed on my site are for getting everyone ready only, if you wish to have me stay for touch ups the is an additional fee.

15.  I suggest having a small touch up kit with tissues, powder and a lip color. You can go and purchase your own kit or I can provide one for you at an additional fee.
