Would highly recommend Bridal Gown Care for alterations and cleaning. I worked with the Seamstress Jill for alterations and she was professional, knowledgeable, and able to guide me on alterations decisions when I was not sure what I wanted. I also worked with Carol to schedule a cleaning as I used my dress twice. Carol was quick to respond, very thorough and I always felt like my dress was in good hands. I’ll be using Bridal Gown Care to preserve my dress as well.

I bought my dress from Lovely Bride and they do not do alterations. I didn't think I would need too much done to it in terms of alterations when we purchased the dress. The saleswoman there talked me in to purchasing a size up. (I was between two sizes and was a little reluctant to go up a size since when she measured me it was my first week off of crutches in about 2 1/2 months. I am an active person so knew I would lose some weight after I got back into my regular routine.)

Always go with your gut because when I picked up the dress it was falling off of me. Also my dress was a two piece ball gown with a full tulle skirt and the bustier had boning and custom lace. I was a wreck trying to figure out how to make this the gown of my dreams.

Cathi is a miracle worker. I feel like this was a big job and she did amazing! Just talking to her I can see that she has a lot of experience behind her and she made good judgement calls about where to alter the dress and where to leave it so it didn't look altered. I was nervous about not taking in the cup size since I am a lot smaller there but after she showed me many different cup shapes we found on that looked really natural and on the big day no one noticed. It was also really great to have two fittings in addition to the consultation because from the first fitting to the second I did lose a little more weight.

I always do a TON of research for all my services, especially with my wedding, and BGC had the best reviews and Cathi lived up to them all.

I wanted to use my mother's veil for my wedding but after sitting in a box for over 30 years it was not in the best of shape. I found Carol and brought the veil in to see what they could do. It had some rips and tears and was worried that they would have to cut it and make it shorter than what I wanted. It was a cathedral and I wanted to keep it a cathedral. They were able to keep it long, cleaned it, and fixed the holes. When I picked it up, it looked brand new. I was very happy with the results.

Wouldn't have trusted any other place with my wedding gown!! Took my gown into Carol for a free estimate and never looked back. Their knowledge of the preservation and cleaning process of high end gowns is top notch. Carol sat down and went over the whole process with me, video and all, and looked my gown over from top to bottom, I never felt rushed or pressured. When I went to pick it up even the packaging was beautiful. She artistically placed it so that the lace detail as well as my veil could be seen in the window (did I mention she preserved my veil at no extra charge). Carol went over how to open it if need be in the future, with the archival gloves she provided me with. She also saved my bra cups and gave me bra tape to reuse them, she also gave me extra acid free paper to wrap my wedding shoes in for storage. Worth every penny and then some!!

I was super nervous trusting someone to clean my wedding dress, especially since it was made of raw silk which is difficult to clean. The Clothes Doctor did an excellent job and made the dress look perfect! When I met with Carol for the initial consultation, I mentioned that I wasn't exactly happy with the dress alterations. Carol recommended that I get a last minute alteration at Just Alterations. Carol even met me there for my initial fitting and picked up the gown from there for the final pressing.

I was working on a strict timeline, and Carol accommodated my schedule. She can even deliver your dress to your venue/hotel if you are getting married locally.

I bought my wedding dress at a sample sale, and while it was lovely and I got it at a steal, there were some minor dirt flaws and yellow tint that came out on my dress. I found Carol at the Dress Doctor, and though it was a hike, I trekked down to Long Beach to have her look at my dress. Carol was very sweet, and took time to explain the cleaning process. The fee was very reasonable for the cleaning needs, and the time turn around was quick. She also helped me find a good tailor and offered to pick the dress up from her for the final pressing. She was very good about communicating and patient when it was called for. I haven't preserved my dress yet, but I can tell from the cleaning, they would do an excellent job.

Carol and her team are knowledgeable and experienced at their job. I got my dress from Glamour Closet in LA and it needed some cleaning before the wedding. I took the dress in for cleaning and May and then again a few days before my wedding for pressing. I was very pleased with the results as well as with Carol's responsiveness and attention to the entire transaction.

My experience with Bridal Gown Care was wonderful. I just picked up my dress today and I was very satisfied with their cleaning and preserving process. Carol was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and explained everything to me in great detail. I felt very comfortable leaving my dress with her. My dress was ready a couple weeks later than I was initially quoted but I wasn't in any rush to get it back. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for someone to clean and preserve their wedding dress.
