When quality photographs of your Wedding Day are what you want, Breezy Canford Photography will provide you with just that, professional photographic services and products at reasonable prices. I tailor everything to each individual couple and their needs.
Photography is my passion! A passion that I truely love! It makes me happy to see my clients excited when they see the memories from their special day. There is a light in their eyes when they see what I was able to create from their memories.
I serve North Carolina, Virginia and the DC/Maryland area. I am also open for any Destination Weddings, be it in the Mountains of Tennessee or a beach wedding in Cancun or even a Castle in Scotland. If you are interested in a Destination Wedding Photographer and you like MY style please contact me for specific information that is tailored to exactly what you need.
I am described as, outgoing, energentic, articulate, relaxed, yet I can also be a take charge kind of person when I need to be.
I will do everything in my power to work with each bride and her family from the engagement session to the wedding day to make you feel comfortable and give you exactly what you want. I will capture the beauty and feeling of your special day,and will be sure that you are the center of attention!
My style of photography is a combination of several styles. I offer a Photojournalistic (is essentially a series of candid photographs covering the events of the entire day), Romantic, Modern, Illistrative (The photographer provides direction and the couple together with their bridal party are encouraged to interact, This results in a more spontaneous feel.) and Traditional ( contrived posed or ’set up’ look to photographs captured by the photographer) style rolled all into one to be MY style. I like for the images to tell a story of your perfect day from beginning to end. For parents I also like to get those big extended family group shots if you would like. I will provide you with detail photographs such as, the rings, flowers, cake etc... Everyone wants some of those romantic wedding portraits of yourselves just like you see in all of those Bridal magazines you’ve been looking at. With my blended style of photography you will get alot of images . And if you go with a one of my collections where a second photographer is included, you will get two different perspectives of much of your wedding day.
*Photojournalism Wedding Photography is said to appeal to the bride and groom that require a series of unique photographs designed to "tell a story" or narrate the wedding day.
*Illistrative Wedding Photography is said to bring out the more wedding photographer’s ’artistic’ creative and compositional skills rather than simply capturing a series of moments.
*Traditional Wedding Photography can look visually pleasing, but predictable.
*Romantic Wedding portraits that show the love naturally between the happy couple.
I have been working in the photography field for over 10 years now. I have photographed numerous weddings, bridals and engagements. I also photograph, newborns, maternities, children, Boudoir and families.

How do you
identify your primary photographic style?
I think I have my own style. I have offer Photojournalistic, Romantic, Traditional and Candid all rolled into one. |
Please describe
any special techniques you offer:
I offer the images in color, B&W, Sepia and even some selective coloring. |
Which lighting
situations do you have experience with?
I have experience in all lighting situations, and can handle most anything thrown at me. |
Do you have a
media preference?
I prefer to work with digital but I have much experience in both film and digtal. Depending on the Collection that you choose there could be up wards of 1000 or more digital images to work with, which would make film very difficult and more costly. |
How many
photographers do you work with?
I am always there, depending on the collection that you choose, I do offer a second photographer. Sometimes I will even (with your permission of course) all photographers in training tag along for learning experiences and training. |
Do you
guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes I will be the main photographer at your wedding unless some major unforseen life threatening event happens. |
Do you
sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
No, I would never book two weddings in the same day. I can how ever book Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the same weekend during peak times. |
Do you have a
replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on
the wedding day?
Yes I work with several experienced photographers that could cover for me if an emergency were to arise. |
What kind of
equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring 2 camera bodies, 2 external flashes, a min. of 3 lenses, tons of Memory cards. Depending on the collection and needs of the day and tons of batteries, I may bring, reflector, studio setup, tripod etc.... Alot depends on the needs of the couple. |
Do you bring
back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely, this is YOUR day and I want to capture every moment for you! |
Do you charge
hourly or full day?
I offer collections from both charges, they just depend on which one meets your requirements. |
If hourly, are
you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you
charge for overtime?
Yes Additional hour of Photography time $100
Additional Photographer $75 per hour
|
Do you require
a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party
provide your meal?
Again this depends on the the collection. Obviously if I am only photographing your special day for 4 hours, I wouldn't need a meal. But if you hire me for an 8, 12, 14 hour or all day wedding then yes I would need a meal and would require the wedding party to provide it. Most people don't want photos while eating anyway :D |
Do you charge
for travel?
Depending on the distance yes I do. If the wedding is in the greater Hampton Roads area then no I do not. Certain collections I waive the travel fee if the wedding is in NC, VA or DC. |
How soon after
the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Usually it takes 2-3 weeks to have the proofs up on my website for your viewing. |
In what format
are the initial proofs offered?
The proofs are digital so they are put in a gallery on my website. With certain collections we would put some up on your very own site. |
Do you retain
the copyright for the photos?
Yes I retain the copyright of the photos. If you purchase a collection that includes the high resolution CDs you will receive a print release in paper form and also on the CD so that you can make as many copies and in the sizes that you want.
|
Do you reserve
the right to publish the photos?
Yes I have you sign a model release that states I can use the images on my website, for business cards etc... But if there was an image that I think you may not want out in public view, I will ask you about that specific image before using it. |
Do you provide
the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the
negatives) to the couple?
Yes certain collections include the images on disc. And you always have to option to add the CD onto any of my collections offered. |
Will images be
available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes the images will be available for viewing in an online gallery on my website besides it makes it very easy and convienent for you and other family members to order additional prints. |
What kind of
albums do you offer?
Traditional leather cover (8X8, 10x10, 12X12), flush mount collage style, and Coffee books/Story books. |
When will I get
the final book?
Depends on the style book ordered and how long it takes you to plce your order. |
* If you are planning an outdoor wedding, the best time to hold the ceremony is apx. 1.5 hours before sunset.
* When looking for a photographer visit and talk with as many wedding photographers as possible. Although you should look at as many sample pictures as you can, don’t fall into the common trap that some brides and grooms do. Many become overwhelmed and confused by the sheer number of photographs, advertisements and marketing materials. If you are impressed immediately by a photographer’s style you are starting to make progress regardless of the style they have.
