Alissa- what can I say!??! Not only is she a wedding photographer and a fabulous one...she is a wedding therapist!!! I was crazy stressed the 5 days prior to my wedding due to the forecast. Everything we had planned was outside and I was obsessed with locations we picked for pictures. She did all she could to ease my fears and everything worked out perfectly. She makes a checklist to ensure all pics you requested are taken. She double and triple checks with you before she leaves for the evening. She was on time and hysterical! Eased my husband and his nerves with having his pictures taken. After the wedding she is in touch with you promptly with proofs and my pics are AMAZING!!!! I cannot stop hanging them everywhere in my house. Wedding pictures are the ONE thing you get when the whole day is said and done, it is your memory of the flowers, your hair, how you felt even (yes she captures that too), so PICK Alissa, best money you will spend on your day!

I know 5 out of 5 stars might seem unreasonable, but Alissa deserves all of them plus more! From the first time I spoke with her and my husband and I met with her, she was 110% prepared. We met with her at her home studio and she had taken the time to find out when the sunset was going to be on the day of our wedding so that she could take her famous night pictures. One of the main reasons I chose her was this one photo that I saw of hers over and over again of the bride & groom in front of the Fox Hill Inn just after the sunset with the lights on and I fell in love. She took that photo of my husband & I and I can't wait to order it as a big canvas print and hang it on my wall!
On the day of the wedding, Alissa and her assistant Cherry became members of the family. Cherry helped my sister lace up my dress and fixed my hair when everyone else's hands were full. They were so happy to see me in my dress and kept complimenting our wedding party on how awesome they were. Alissa and Cherry took every photo that I or a friend/family member threw at them without a blink of an eye. Words cannot describe how amazing Alissa is. She has an eye for the perfect photo, every time. Not to mention that I had previews of my photos within 48 hours of my wedding, and the full blog post and photos shortly after. I would recommend Alissa to everyone, she is absolutely worth every penny!

Alissa Alissa! Where do I start this review? I hired Alissa for my wedding over an year ago. At that time I have been looking at many photographers on the internet, met and spoke to many but and when I saw her work, I knew she is the one as I kept going to her blog over and over again. I fell in love with her beautiful, creative pictures. When I met her in person, I liked her work and her personality even better. She followed up with me on everything and was so patient when I didn't get back on time. Fast forward many months later, Alissa worked so hard on my wedding day. She was always on time and was so prompt in capturing all the moments, she would run, climb, roll on the floor to get that perfect picture for you. She has Incredible amounts of energy, I could never see her slowing down on my wedding day! Even my friends commented on prompt she is. I absolutely love her bubbly, friendly and energetic personality. She makes you feel at ease, is not in your way, never says "No" and is very realistic and candid on what can be achieved within that day. With that said, keep in mind that the amount of images and moments she will capture within your wedding day is far more than you can imagine and plan for. She is really nice, flexible, funny and so easy to work work with. Looking just at my wedding previews, I am so glad I chose her as my photographer. I cannot wait to see the rest of my wedding pictures and am looking forward to working with her again soon.

I may cry as I write this, as I love Alissa that much. Alissa is incredibly, incredibly talented. On top of her talent, she is professional, caring, funny, sweet, and so patient. Of all my vendors, I worked with Alissa the longest, and I already miss her - that's how much I enjoy working with her (although, she's not done with me yet, as we have to eventually pick albums). I am a very organized (slightly type-A) person, and Alissa puts me to shame. Her organization skills are remarkable! I seriously felt like I didn't need a wedding planner, as Alissa's organization allowed me to plan my entire day around her schedule. I knew she was the one when my then finance, now husband, really enjoyed our engagement session - she put him at ease, and he doesn't love taking pictures (now he does :). On the day of our wedding, Alissa sent me the sweetest/most touching email with some "last minute suggestions," that I definitely incorporated into our wedding day. She worked beautifully with our families, rather rowdy wedding party, and all of our guests. She accommodated every single request with a smile. I loved the way she worked with our videographer, Tom (Vantage Point Films). Last but not least, after our engagement session and right after our wedding (within 24 hours), Alissa posts a "preview" on Facebook and her blog, and I just loved that touch - it means so much that she takes the time to publish pictures so soon thereafter. Alissa is remarkable - you must hire her as your photographer! Her talent, personality, and precision are unbeatable :)

Of all of the vendors I used for my wedding, I was probably the most happy with Alissa - she is an amazing photographer, and I couldn't be happier with the way all of my wedding pictures came out. In addition to being a great photographer, she's also very friendly and really great to work with. I planned my wedding from out of town, and she was extremely flexible as far as when she could meet and was always quick to respond to my emails, which was a huge help. On the day of the wedding, she was professional, gave great direction and was able to coordinate all of our family and wedding party pictures with amazing efficiency (which can be more of a challenge than one would think!) After the wedding, she was quick in getting the digital negatives processed and was more than patient when working with me on my album (which I also LOVE!) Overall, I would highly recommend Alissa to anyone looking for a great wedding photographer.

Alissa is an INCREDIBLE photographer. Our engagement and wedding photos were truly spectacular. She was a pleasure to work with and made taking pictures fun.

She is a bit on the expensive side but she gives you a disc of every photo she takes and is totally worth the extra cost.

I would use her again in a heartbeat.

Our wedding day took place on the day of a freak October snowstorm in Carmel, NY. While we were anticipating beautiful Autumn photos on Lake Mahopac, we took photos in what turned out to be blizzard conditions - yet Alissa managed to capture shots more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Anyone wanting winter wonderland photos on their wedding day would be truly envious. Weather conditions were so poor that roads were being closed; but Alissa toughed it out above and beyond what would be expected of a true professional.

We took "first look" photos before the wedding. Alissa somehow managed to calm our stresses during our photos and played a large part in turning what some could have considered a disaster into our perfect wedding.

I could not recommend Alissa more highly. Our photos are beautiful, Alissa is a dedicated professional, and I cannot imagine having had anyone else photograph our wedding. I cannot thank Alissa enough.

Alissa was wonderful throughout this process, from the engagement photos a year ahead of the wedding to the wedding photos. She was always positive, smiling and relaxed which helped everyone else relax. With me (the mother of the bride) out of state, I especially appreciated Alissa's quick responses to my inquiries as we got closer to the wedding date.
I had a son get married in another state just 2 months after my daughter and there really was no comparison with the service and exceptional quality of the pictures that Alissa did for my daughter's wedding compared to the services and photographs (done by a very experienced professional in the area) for my son's wedding.

When we started the search for a photographer, we met with a few before you. Looking back at some of the work they have done, and what you just did for us, the difference is night and day. Not just the work itself but the entire way you handle your business from start to finish (website, blog, followthrough). Thank you for that.

I look back at all the wedding expenses, and realize that it was a lot. While I would have loved to have save a few bucks on photography, in this case we definitely got what we paid for and I don't regret our decision one bit! Rest assured we will recommend your work any chance as get!!

Alissa and Cherry not only captured all the wonderful moments of our wedding, but also all the wonderful elements of the place where the wedding was held - which they knew was so special to us. They were easy going while providing instruction (if you aren't a model, their tips and tricks will make you look/feel like one!); they were all about exploring rocky, sandy, dusty yet totally gorgeous places - inspiring us with their creativity; they made us laugh, celebrated our happy tears, and felt like a part of the wedding... like friends.
