Your Personal Chef takes pride in sourcing every ingredient for every dish organically and locally. Unlike the vast majority of caterers and restaurants out there who may "feature" a local ingredient here, an organic item there, we make it our business to keep seeking out sources for ever more locally grown organic stuff. We are delighted to partner with local farms and small businesses to bring you the very best in "100-mile" cuisine.

We are also whole food purists. You won't find anything genetically modified, artificially flavored, preserved, or altered. Nor will your food be laden with sugars, flours, or anything else that is calorie-laden and nutrient-deficient. We care about your health as much as our own and are dedicated to the idea that great food should also be great for you.

Although you might think we're a bunch of hippies who put sprouts on everything, actually we come from a fine dining background. Rebecca Friedman, the proprietress, worked for top caterers in the Bay Area for many years, and brings a California Cuisine sensibility to the business. We take time and effort to make sure the presentation is beautiful, accenting plates with fresh herbs, berries and flowers in a myriad of colors.

We strive to make each event as close to carbon neutral as is possible. We often haul recycling home in our own cars because we're not satisfied it will get recycled any other way. We'll work with you to create a beautiful, thoughtful and sustainable event. And of course, most importantly, we want you to relax, enjoy yourself, and have fun - safe in the knowledge that you have hired competent professionals who will get the job done right!
