Talbot Ross Events

My husband and I hosted a 3 day party to celebrate our marriage and having Talbot as our event planner was the best investment that we made for our wedding weekend. We chose Talbot, because we wanted a planner who was well-connected, well-respected, and an expert at planning and executing beautiful, joyful, and detailed events — this was especially important to us given how busy we are in our professional lives and our physical distance from Puerto Vallarta.

Talbot and his team helped us plan 3 back-to-back events (Welcome Event, Pool Party, and Night Party) with each event having its own unique venue, design elements, surprises, and entertainment, and his team hit it out of the park for each event. From the beginning, we told Talbot that we wanted to prioritize our guests’ experience and maximize the feeling of warmth and fun felt throughout the weekend, and he helped us achieve that by helping us incorporate exciting details and surprises (including a custom coconut bar, ice cream taco vendor, live saxophonist, churro stand, taco cart, fire dancers, and fireworks). I think the success of a wedding should be judged by how much love and joy is felt by the people there, and thanks to T and his team, the feeling for us was overwhelming (in other words, pure magic).

It goes without saying that Talbot has impeccable taste; that’s obvious from his Instagram and other reviews. What’s not as apparent from pictures (but may be even more important) is Talbot’s soft skills. He’s confident, supportive, and knows how to make you feel grounded when the planning process or parts of the wedding experience (inevitably) make you feel overwhelmed. We feel very lucky to have worked with T, and we can’t wait to have another excuse to throw a party so we can work with him again.

We found Talbot through a friend and could not be happier with our decision. Before we even paid a retainer, he got on a call with us, listened to our vision, and offered recommendations that helped us find our venue in Puerto Vallarta. He fully embraced our idea of a full destination weekend, a Friday welcome party, Saturday wedding, and Sunday pool party, came prepared with ideas that elevated each event, and worked through every challenge we threw at him calmly and creatively. His local network was one of the biggest advantages of working with him. He helped us find our photographer, DJ, ceremony guitarist, and more, and because he had worked at our venue many times before, coordination and setup were smooth from start to finish.

When the weekend arrived, Talbot was exactly where he needed to be at every moment, available without ever being intrusive. His team transformed the venue on wedding day with remarkable speed and professionalism, and the turnaround between the wedding and our Sunday pool party left our guests genuinely amazed. He even coordinated our own shuttle transportation and surprise entertainment so we never had to think about them. His installment payment structure was an added bonus, meaning once the weekend arrived, we weren't dealing with cash, pesos, or any last-minute logistics. Planning a destination wedding can be overwhelming. Talbot made it enjoyable, and we would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering a wedding in Puerto Vallarta.

Talbot is truly such an incredible and talented wedding planner. From the very beginning, he understood my vision and brought my pink wedding dream to life in a way that exceeded anything I could have imagined. I sent him a few Pinterest inspirations, and instead of just recreating them, he elevated every detail and made it feel completely unique and personal to me.

His creativity, attention to detail, and ability to transform ideas into something magical is unmatched. The florals were absolutely stunning. To this day, our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything looked and how unforgettable the ambiance was. The entire night felt like a dream come to life, and that is entirely thanks to Talbot’s vision and execution.

Beyond his talent, he was also such a joy to work with throughout the entire process. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. I felt completely at ease knowing he was handling everything.

Talbot helped plan and execute 4 events for my daughter’s wedding in San Pancho in May. We had a welcome dinner party at our home with open bar, dinner and live band. The caterer and band chosen by Talbot were wonderful and very professional. The following day, Talbot assisted with a pool party at the local beach club with open bar, lunch and DJ. Again- a great event! That night Talbot organized a rehearsal dinner at the polo club with mariachis, dinner, open bar and live music. Finally, Talbot planned and executed the wedding and reception back at the beach club. Absolutely flawless! At each event, the food, decor and flow were perfect! He has impeccable taste and it showed! His hair/make up and photography referrals were spot on, and he also helped with the transportation of our guests to and from each event - not an easy task considering that people stayed at @10 different hotels and rental properties! Most importantly, Talbot’s expertise and confidence allowed my family to relax and enjoy each event. Thanks to Talbot and his team, my daughter’s wedding dreams all came true.

We booked Talbot after our first conversation because he immediately put our minds at ease. Planning a wedding in a city you don’t live in can be a little unnerving. You have to take the planner at their word for a lot of recommendations. Food, the DJ, etc. but Talbot made us feel totally in control throughout the entire process. Talbot and his team are magic makers. They created an unforgettable wedding weekend for us at the end of April. Our family and friends are still buzzing about it. From the food, to the venues (welcome party and wedding) to the music, everything was perfection.

There is a lot of trust that goes into planning a wedding in another country and Talbot proved why he was the one for the job. I work in events so relinquishing some of that control was only going to happen if I had the utmost confidence in our planner. We would have truly been lost without his guidance and expertise. Every vendor he recommended was amazing. Talbot also does his own florals and what he created for our Welcome Party and our Wedding felt like something out of a magazine. I was so relaxed leading into everything because I knew he had my back and all I had to do was sit back and enjoy.
