Zola Wedding Registry?

MrsRies&Love, on October 11, 2017 at 8:45 AM Posted in Registry 0 10

Hi all!

Does anyone have any experience with the Zola wedding registry (or want to rave about another site?)? Browsing their products, it seems most relevant to our style but almost seems too good lol. I created a registry with Wayfair, but they don't have most of the styles I'm looking for and it seems to be more expensive than it needs to be. We've also ruled out BB&B and Amazon. Any other suggestions?

I liked Zola, but only about 5 people bought off that registry; my guests had an overwhelming preference for bed bath and beyond...maybe because it had a physical store? With Zola, I liked that I could choose to have them send the gift or exchange it for store credit.

We used it and people seemed to like it well enough. I liked that you could hold gifts to ship in case you immediately go on your honeymoon and don't want packages showing up while you're gone

We looked at Zola but upon reading the fine print it seemed kind of difficult and confusing. We really only wanted to use it because we could add items from other websites. We ended up using Amazon for their universal registry. We felt as though we had better control over the registry itself and was more user friendly.

We're using Zola and so far I've had nothing but good experiences with it. It's been super easy to add items, take them off, have them shipped, have them held, etc. I'd say go for it if you like the style!

Another thing that I just noticed is I added a whole list of things to my registry and when I went to view it, literally every single item was labeled as "discontinued"...great...

We've used it, but only for the universal registry option. Bed Bath and Beyond was definitely the preference for the shower gifts, but some people surprised me in getting things from Zola (like an older lady from our church who I didn't even realize used the computer at all).

We didn't go with Zola but FH's cousin did and one of the first things we noticed when look g at her registry was how much more expensive things were on there than at other stores. (Like $100 more for the same Kitchen Aid mixer.) We did Amazon and BB&B. So far we've loved the universal registry feature on Amazon.

Got it! I think we're going to end up going with a combination of BBB and Amazon so that its user friendly for our guests. So disappointed in Zola!

I interned at Newlywish for a while (similar to Zola). I can attest to their customer service being great, haha. It's similar in the fact that you can register for cash or guests can put cash towards sporting event tickets, dinners out, etc. and there's the option to "group gift" larger items.

That being said, it's also similar to Zola that there's a lot of high end brands on there and it could be a lot more than guests want to spend. But just something else to look into that I don't think was mentioned
