Zales Ring is Due for Inspection and Cleaning -Worried

My FH got mine at Zales and when I took it in for the inspection and cleaning it was in my sight the entire time. If they want to do work, then maybe think about taking it somewhere else, but for the cleaning and inspection it's nothing to be worried about!

I took my Kay ring to a local jeweler to get inspected. I had Kay size it with no problems but I'm just counting myself as being lucky. I'll never set foot in a store owned by that company again.

My ring is from Zales they do not keep your ring when you go in for inspection, they look at it clean it and give it right back to you!

The inspection and channing is all done at the store right in front of you. The only time I worry now is if I need to send it in.

When I had my ring inspected and cleaned they did it right at the store, in front of me. There was nothing wrong with the ring the whole process took 15 minutes gave me my ring back and said see you in November.

They check it and clean it right in front of you. Kay does the same thing. I haven't ever had to leave my ring overnight. You do need to know the date your FH purchased your ring. It helps them pull it up in their system, if you don't have the paperwork.

I just took both my engagement ring, band/wrap and FH band for their 6 month inspection at Kay's. That's done in the store along with the cleaning. My band had to be sent out to be stretched to fit my e-ring and before I left the store I had the sales person read me my diamond's inscribed numbers to make sure they matched and she wrote down all that info and value of the diamond and setting. I had slight anxiety sending it after reading all the negative stories, but I've been a customer of their's for 14 years with minimum issues, so I'm trying to have some faith.

Definitely stay on top of your inspections. It sucks when you have to pay for a repair that would normally be covered under the service plan. I just bring all my jewelry and paperwork together in the same month. That way I'm only going to the store for inspections twice a year.

Cleanings are done right in front of you, the issue is when they send them out for repair. We can't add another bill to our list currently, so we also have to maintain the warranty. I've taken it in a few times for those cleanings and it's been fine.

We got our rings from Blue Nile. They are an excellent company. Had to send my ring back to be resized and the entire process was worry and hassle free.

Ok, so I feel kinda dumb but what law suits? I googled it and can't find a thing? I've had my ring cleaned once at Zales (in front of me) and handed back. We were there getting our bands (way early) using the discount offered to FH when he bought my ring. Should I be worried? All purchases were from Zales.

@Fianc-bae there were some reports of diamond switching and people purposely "loosing" rings. I'm nervous too because mine were ordered end of may/ beginning of June and they're still not in. I ordered one of their white sapphire bridal sets.

Mine is from Zales and we took it for inspection this past weekend-I was nervous at first too. But it took 15minutes and everything was done right in front of us on the counter.

FH got mine at zales and we had a nightmare experience. So much so we honestly considered returning the ring and getting one somewhere else. But at the end of the day I finally got someone who could and would help and fixed everything. But it was a fight to even get that. So just be careful.
