What are you all using for your something old/new/borrowed/blue? And, silly question - do those things have to be things you, the bride, are physically wearing in order to stick with the tradition? I'm really having a tough time checking these things off - I am going to wrap the lace from my mom's...

And, silly question - do those things have to be things you, the bride, are physically wearing in order to stick with the tradition? I'm really having a tough time checking these things off - I am going to wrap the lace from my mom's veil around my bouquet stems as my something old (and maybe I can say it is something borrowed, too?), but does that "count"?

    I adore this tradition.

Old - my mom's bracelet / some of her fake bouquet flowers mixed in with my real

    Borrowed - mom's bracelet

New - basically everything I'm wearing

Blue - my shoes and my E-ring has hidden sapphires in it.

Lol. something old : my diy hair combs were made by re-purposing fh's grandmother's vintage folding glasses (used the art deco starburst clip on one of the two combs)

borrowed: still working on itSmiley smile might end up being my cousin's sash. she offered.

Something new: shoes, dress, other jewelery

something blue: wedding ring and most likely shoes..still haven't found any i love.

Something Old: My great-grandmother's pearl necklace

    Something New: My dress

Something Borrowed: ...less than a month until the wedding and I'm still trying to figure it out.

Something Blue: I'm going to put charms with blue beads on my bouquet; they're going to contain photos of FH's father, my grandpa, and my great-grandmother (a way of honoring their memory).

Silver Sixpence: TinaBoBina was lovely enough to send me a shiny new 2016 penny for my shoe Smiley smile

Something Old: My ruby and pearl lavaliere necklace that belonged to my step-great-grandmother's grandmother

Something New: My ruby dangle earrings that arrive yesterday!

Something Borrowed: Still figuring this one out

Something Blue: The Aquamarine ring my late grandfather bought my grandmother(who has Alzheimer's and will not be at my wedding) for their 25th anniversary; she gave me the ring for my 25th birthday.

    Something old: no idea yet...

    Something new: dress/veil

Something borrowed: a tiny gold cross pin that every baby in my family has worn for their christening for the past 200 years. My mom wore it on her wedding dress too.

Something blue: a small patch from my dads old NYPD uniform sown onto a layer of my dress.
