Your natural eyelashes or false eyelashes?

Hi everyone! Today is NATIONAL LASH DAY ( Really! Lol!) and I thought this would be an appropriate topic. My lashes are very short and pale, so I'm wearing false eyelashes, a tad on the dramatic side, for my big day in brown. What about you?

That’s on a case by case basis. I have hazel eyes so that was a concern, but I didn’t see any change. You have to make sure the formula doesn’t go inside the eye. It’s not the end of the world, but you have to be careful. There are supplements that can counteract this, but they are about as expensive as lash extensions. I know because I took them to fight melasma—what a huge bummer!

Same here! I also have contacts and touch my eyes all the time (bad, I know) so I worry I'll be annoyed or touch my eyes more b/c of them.

My HMUA asked me about them at my trial and I said the same. Then she showed me these super small pieces to add if I wanted and I said sure. She added about three on each side. And they come off with regular makeup remover. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't notice them at all, and they gave me a little more "volume". IDK, I guess I could take them or leave them, but they were included in the service so I might do it anyways!

My lashes are actually really long and I love wearing mascara on them, but for me my eyes are my favorite feature. I wanted my eye's to really pop on the wedding day and stand out more than any other feature. I didn't wear a bold lip, and I went subtle on the eyeshadow, too. I wore falsies! So glad I did! They didn't come off all night (and I cried, danced, and sweat) and I got used to wearing them after about 30 minutes. I have worn them times before so they were not knew to me, but so glad I wore them. I didn't have to worry about mascara running, or getting mascara on my eyeshadow after doing my makeup! Would 100% do it again!

I felt like I looked like the best, most glorified, version of my natural self! I got so many compliments on my look that day!

(some pics where you can sort of see the lashes!)

When I did my engagement shoot the mua gave me false lashes and I HATED it. It felt like something was on my eye (which it was) the entire time I could not wait to take them off. I also don't wear makeup so that could be it. Needless to day for the wedding, while i am getting makeup done I will not have false lashes.

I ordered mine from One-Two Cosmetics, but I think you can find them at Sephora and even Walmart.

They still take some time to put on. So they have a similar learning curve to the glued ones.

I was wanting to get eyelash extensions, but I've seen some bad aftermaths. I'll stick to falsies.

I love my lashes so I’m not planning on wear false ones. My mom is thinking of doing lash extensions just because she doesn’t want to worry about her mascara when she starts to cry.

I will be sporting my real lashes. I’ve noticed people are obsessed with eye colors that are not brown/black so I don’t see the point for me to have falsies when my eyes are not considered pretty because they are brown.

Something about my eyeshape just does not work with false eyelashes. I look crazy in them. I have been using a lash growth serum and it has worked really well for lengthening! A little eyeliner and I will be set.

Don't feel as the odd one. You are one of the fortunate few to have beautiful lashes. I'm jealous! 😙 My fiancé has the most gorgeous lashes. A woman would kill for them. Lol! I know you will look perfect!!
