Your dog, your wedding

Anyone else planning to have their dog/puppy/pet in your wedding? Is he/she walking down the aisle or just there for photos?

@KateR: you're right. Lots to think about. There's a dog service here in my area that picks up the dog and takes them to the vet or sitter etc so I'll look into that. I just want him there for wedding pictures only and after the ceremony. I don't expect him to sit around and behave during the reception.

If that can't be arranged, I'll probably do the cake topper with his pic with a caption like "my favorite humans are getting married"

I have four fur babies and as much as I love them I would not subject them to the wedding. They would be out of their "safety zone", too much confusion, and everyone would want to feed the babies. My solution, and the photographer thought it was great, using the engagement photo shoot a few days after the wedding with just us and the kids. We plan dressing back up and taking the dogs back out to the park for a photo shoot. Other than us, who else is going to know they were not actually at the wedding.
