What do you think about paperless invites? Like text, Evite ... opinions? Is it tacky or do you find it eco friendly? It has come to thought, but I don't know if it will look bad. Invitations are thrown away eventually right?

I would be concerned it would go in spam or junk folders and never be seen. Also, older guests who aren't as familiar with technology. I know my grandparents would be utterly confused if they got an E-invite to the wedding.

As far as saving money goes, I got really good deals through Vistaprint. My invites came out to a little over a $1 each with reply cards and inserts (I didn't use the VP envelopes, so that was an additional something, but under $1 each).

I also cheated the system a little bit by using different templates for the reply and insert cards, not the actual insert/reply card templates - I think I used the note card template and it was cheaper. You just have to do a little DIY design, but it's not that hard, either going plain and just using text on Vistaprint or buying a design for a couple dollars off of Etsy and uploading the image to Vistaprint.

If you catch them on their Semi-Annual sale, that's the best time to do it - almost everything is 50% off. Those sales are in January and July, I believe.
