I'm making ribbon rosette wrist corsages for my mom and FH's mom. I think it's a nice gesture. If the guys get boutonnieres, I think it's nice for the ladies to get something. Smiley smile

I am going to ask each of they want a wristlet or one that gets pinned on. They have to wear them it might as be what they like!

Ask them if they want them. I personally hated wearing it during prom. That was like 12 yrs ago & I still remember it bothering my wrist. Pinning them on reminds me of that episode in friends where Joey & chandler are fighting over the chair & get hummus all over phoebe & she pins a Christmas decoration to her dress.

Sorry for the tangent. It's really up to you & the MOG/MOB. Although I didn't like them I still gave the option & both moms said they'd really rather avoid them. It's nice to offer though.

I don't like wrist corsages so my mother and FMIL are wearing pinned on corsages instead.

I'm getting them corsages. The flowers are important to my mom and she wants to feel a part of the wedding by having flowers that match the wedding party. So I got my mom one, and to be fair I got one for my FMIL as well because she is awesome.

They were pretty cheap compared to everything else so a little extra money for the corsages wasn't a big deal.

    Thanks for all the feedback.

They both want the wrist corsages becasue pinned corsages they are worried will get smashed from hugging... lolol

Vicky- I did not like mine either on prom, so thats one reason I'm questioning. Smiley winking

Kristen- ribbon corsage sounds very pretty. Any pics you could share?

For my daughter's wedding, each of the mothers will be hand carrying one or two roses. I don't like corsages. The grandmothers, however, will wear pinned corsages.

Just ask. My mom didn't want a corsage or a wristlet, but FMIL wants a wristlet so now she feels like she should wear one too.

I've also heard of mothers carrying small bouquets (like a nosegay) or receiving a rose.

My mom and FMIL will be carrying small nosegay bouquets. Not really a fan of the wrist or pinned corsages (and either were the moms) so it seemed like a good option

Haven't asked Mom yet, but I'm hoping she'll wear a corsage. I want her to be identified in some way, especially since FMIL has passed away.

@Kim Here's the first one I made. Thinking of adding some lace and bling.

I am making brooch pins for my FMIL, FGIL, my mom and my grandma. Most of them said they'd prefer not to have a wristlet, and this gives me more options for making them myself. You find a lot of unique "crafty crap" on etsy for this sort of thing.

I'm not doing it. I have never been a fan of corsages. I think they look odd and old fashioned. Moms are getting pretty little flower pins :-)

Mothers and grandmothers will have wrist corsages. It's important to my mom. I chose wrist so they don't take away from the gorgeous dresses they picked out!

I'm getting them for $20 a piece from my florist.
