We're trying to keep on a very low budget, but FH REALLY wanted a DJ. I have an old coworker who just offered to do it for $200! He used to DJ and is coming out of DJ retirement to do our wedding/reception!

I love that people we know are being such big parts in our wedding. Our long time friend is officiating, now CB is DJing...Pretty sure our "adopted" (She practically lived with us when she was growing up) daughter will be doing my hair and make up.

We were having a DJ anyway. We budgeted for it. BUT, this means that money can be used elsewhere or saved!

I know! That's always a good thing says the bride with the $60 dress that I am not even counting in the budget because I bought it years ago and that money is long gone.

That is AWESOME! Congratulations! The only thing I would recommend is to write up a contract with him if you don’t already have one. Something with the price, the date, what’s expected from both parties, etc. That way, if something happens, you have the contract.
